    Send us Fan Mail

    🎉 100 EPISODES of Delegate2Elevate: Get Sh!t Done.

When Bonnie Schutz started a podcast about delegation, she expected to talk about handing off work, getting support, building teams and helping entrepreneurs get more off their plates.

She did not expect the podcast itself to become one of the best relationship-building tools of her entrepreneurial career.

In this solo 100th episode, Bonnie looks back at what these conversations have taught her about delegation, perfectionism, leadership, trust, asking for help — and letting other people do things differently than she would.

She also shares how relationships built through D2E helped inspire Preferred Service Pros, why founders shouldn't wait until they're desperate to get support, and the one giant Golden Nugget she'd pull from the first 100 episodes:

You were never supposed to build all of this alone.

    And perhaps most importantly...

Stop doing sh!t that does not need you. 😉

🎧 Listen, subscribe, and join Bonnie for the next 100 conversations.

  • 99b Salvatore Manzi: Embrace the Awkward - What Better Communication Has to Do With Better Delegation

    Send us Fan Mail

Is it really a delegation problem…or did the communication break down first?

In this episode of Delegate2Elevate: Get Sh!t Done, Bonnie Schutz sits down with leadership communications coach, author, and facilitator Salvatore Manzi for a conversation about what it actually takes to communicate clearly enough for people to understand, respond, and take action.

And yes—Bonnie gets personally called out by the power of the pause. 😂

    They talk about:

    • Why leaders need to get comfortable being awkward
    • The connection between communication and successful delegation
    • How strong leadership presence can accidentally silence a room
    • Why a 3-, 5-, or even 10-second pause can change a conversation
    • Salvatore’s “You Then Me” communication principle
    • Why neutral emails can sound negative
    • How AI can improve communication—and slowly erase your voice if you let it
    • Humanizing AI-polished writing
    • Psychological safety and encouraging your team to ask questions
    • The delegation lesson Salvatore learned the hard way
    • How scheduled check-ins can prevent micromanagement
    • His Golden Nugget: “Spot It, Got It”

  • 98 Jasmine Rice: Delegation Does Not Always Mean Hiring a Team

    Send us Fan Mail

Your network can be part of your delegation strategy.

That idea came up in my conversation with Jasmine Rice, and it landed hard.

We tend to think delegation means:

    Hire someone.

    Assign the task.

    Move on.

But Jasmine and I talked about a more creative version of delegation.

    Bartering services.

    Using interns.

    Leaning into networking groups.

Asking someone with expertise to help you think differently.

Finding the speaker, coach, consultant, or strategic brain you do not personally have to become.

    That is still delegation.

It may not show up as a neat little line item on your org chart, but it absolutely creates capacity.

And for founders, solopreneurs, and service providers, capacity is often the thing we are starving for while pretending we are “fine.”

    Jasmine said something I loved:

    Stop micromanaging the outcome.

Because even when we do everything ourselves, we still cannot control everything.

    Annoying? Yes.

    True? Also yes.

This episode is a great reminder to start small, get creative, and stop making yourself the whole entire department.

  • 97 Sam Loiterstein: Gen Z Founder Energy Meets Real-World Delegation

    Send us Fan Mail

What can seasoned business owners learn from a Gen Z founder who is already building, experimenting, and leading before graduation?

In this episode of Delegate2Elevate: Get Sh!t Done, Bonnie Schutz talks with Sam Loiterstein, a rising senior at George Washington University and co-founder of Nexus Consulting, a student-led micro-internship platform helping thought leaders and small to mid-sized businesses improve workflows, operations, and time management.

Sam shares what real-world business experience has taught him that the classroom cannot fully replicate, including how to lead student teams, manage client expectations, build better statements of work, and learn through imperfect action.

    Bonnie and Sam talk about:

    • Why “What does done look like?” is one of the most powerful delegation questions
    • How student builders approach messy workflows and problem-solving
    • What business owners should understand before delegating to interns
    • Why mentorship is one of the most meaningful gifts a leader can offer
    • How AI can help, and where it can quietly damage trust
    • Why scaling too quickly can create lessons you never forget

This episode is a thoughtful, funny, and eye-opening conversation about building before you feel fully ready, learning by doing, and the value of multi-generational collaboration.

  • 96 Chandra Anderson: All Great Things Start a Little Messy

    Send us Fan Mail

What happens when being the dependable one starts costing you your health, relationships, and leadership effectiveness?

In this episode of Delegate2Elevate: Get Sh!t Done, Bonnie Schutz sits down with Chandra Anderson, a healthcare executive leading quality, operations, and strategy in rural Nebraska.

Chandra has spent years building high-performing systems in one of the most resource-constrained environments in healthcare. She also knows what it feels like to over-function, over-deliver, and become the person everyone depends on until burnout forces a hard reset.

    Bonnie and Chandra talk about:

    • The connection between healthcare leadership and business ownership
    • Why high performers are often the first to burn out
    • How servant leadership can quietly turn into over-functioning
    • Why protecting your team too much may hold them back
    • What it means to “paint done” clearly before delegating
    • The messy but necessary early stages of delegation
    • Intergenerational communication, emojis, flexibility, and team culture

This episode is for leaders, founders, professional service providers, and high performers who are learning that doing it all is not leadership. It is a fast track to burnout.

As Chandra says, “All great things start a little messy.”

In this episode of Delegate2Elevate: Get Sh!t Done, Bonnie Schutz sits down with Lisa Mullis, messaging specialist, growth strategist, and founder of Paraphrase Communications.

Lisa helps service professionals turn their words into revenue by creating messaging that supports the full client journey, from marketing to sales to mindset.

  • 94 Layne Booth: The Delegation Power Hidden in Your Data

    Send us Fan Mail

What if the smartest delegation move is not handing off another task, but getting the right eyes on your data?

In this episode of Delegate2Elevate: Get Sh!t Done, Bonnie Schutz sits down with Layne Booth, the data, metrics, and KPI go-to for small businesses.

Layne teaches bookkeepers, directors of operations, business managers, and consultants how to add dashboard services through the Dashboard Designer Certification Program. Her work helps small business owners turn numbers into visual, useful information they can actually make decisions from.

Bonnie and Layne talk about why dashboards are not only for “numbers people,” how data can help business owners focus on what matters most, and why not everything on your plate deserves to be delegated.

They also discuss Layne’s own delegation journey, including her first hire, building a remote team, training team members, using end-of-day recaps, and why fractional support can be a smart first step.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

    • Why business owners need clear data before making big decisions
    • How dashboards help creative entrepreneurs see what is working
    • Why not every task on your plate is important
    • How to use data to focus your time and attention
    • Why Layne’s first hire was not an administrative role
    • How to train team members by teaching the long way first
    • Why end-of-day recaps can help remote teams stay aligned
    • How fractional support can help founders start small and build confidence

Layne’s closing reminder says it all:

Bring the data, not the drama, and keep on delegating.

  • 93 Sailynn Doyle: The Delegation Framework That Changes Everything

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode of Delegate2Elevate: Get Sh!t Done, Bonnie sits down with Sailynn Doyle, a scale and systems strategist who helps service-based women business owners build companies that do not depend on them for every move. Sailynn shares how she grew her first business to $1 million in three years, only to find herself buried in 80-hour workweeks and carrying the weight of every decision.

Everything changed when she realized the issue was not effort. It was structure. Sailynn walks through the moment that pushed her to draw a line in the sand, how one updated system changed the way her team operated, and how that became the foundation for the frameworks she now teaches.

Bonnie and Sailynn dig into the difference between handing off tasks and building true delegation into a business. They talk about designing, refining, and integrating systems, helping team members understand why the work matters, and creating a business that can scale without the owner being tangled in every detail.

This one is packed with practical takeaways for founders who are ready to stop being the hub of every wheel and start building a business that supports real life, not only more work.
