Country star Brad Paisley has a free grocery shop in Nashville called The Store that serves people and families who are going through food insecurities and financial difficulties. Now, Brad is using his resources to help serve people who need it during the coronavirus pandemic. Brad announced in an Instagram video this week that The Store will be “mobilizing” to deliver food to the elderly who are at a higher-than-usual risk of getting severely ill from COVID-19.

Disney announced last week that it would be temporarily closing all of its theme parks around the world in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Now, Disneyland and Disney World are sharing a bit of good news that's come out of it: The resorts will be donating all of their excess food to local food banks.

Notices posted at Costco this week indicate the store is no longer accepting returns on key items that many are stocking up on the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The signs, posted by several Costco Instagram accounts (not affiliated with the store itself), indicate that returns are not being accepted on toilet paper, paper towels, rice, water, sanitizing wipes, and Lysol. It's not clear if the new policy is store-by-store or part of a national corporate push.

Fans of The Great British Baking Show (or as it's known in its home country, The Great British Bake-Off) were totally gutted earlier this year when co-host Sandi Toksvig announced she was leaving the show. But now, just two months later, the show has confirmed its new co-host will be comedian Matt Lucas. Channel 4, which airs the show in the U.K., shared the exciting news via a press release Tuesday. Matt expressed his excitement to be joining the tent in the most adorable statement ever.

The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company announced earlier this week that it’s rolling out a new trio of beers with a splash of seltzer called Leinenkugel's Spritzen.

Right when you thought the chicken sandwich wars were winding down, 7-Eleven throws their hat into the ring. 7-Eleven opened a chicken and biscuit restaurant called "Raise the Roost" and the chicken sandwiches coming out of it look amazing. Last fall, 7-Eleven announced that they were opening more upscale dining options. One of the restaurant innovations opened up in Dallas, and it offered sit down dining and served alcohol.

Sure, retiring at 65 is the norm, but that doesn’t mean you have to! At a McDonald’s in Piqua, Ohio, an 89-year-old man was awarded McDonald’s Employee of the Year. He’s only worked there for a little over a year and is absolutely killin’ it. For employee Hugh Ruppert, the award practically came as an early birthday present. He was given the award last Monday, and last Wednesday marked his 89th birthday, WHIO-TV reported. Every morning, he wakes up at 3 a.m.
