  • Spiritual Warfare
The sermon exposes the stealthy and pervasive tactics of Satan, who operates as a roaring lion seeking to devour believers through various forms of occult activity and spiritual deception. It emphasizes the necessity of knowing the enemy's strategies to effectively resist his attacks, drawing on biblical warnings against divination and spiritism found in Deuteronomy 18. Through illustrative accounts of demonic influence and personal deliverance, the text highlights the reality of spiritual bondage and the destructive nature of Satan's systems compared to God's life-giving truth. Believers are urged to put on the full armor of God and rely on the authority of Christ to overcome these forces rather than relying on secular or occult remedies. The message concludes with practical guidance for helping others by listening, discerning symptoms, and leading them to submit to God and renounce sin.

  • They Were Astonished
The sermon explores the narrative of Peter's miraculous prison release in Acts 12 to illustrate the power and nature of effective prayer. It highlights how the early church prayed specifically and earnestly for Peter, yet remained astonished when God answered in a way that exceeded their expectations. The preacher emphasizes that while believers may possess theological knowledge that God hears and answers prayer, true faith often falls short of anticipating divine intervention in impossible circumstances. By connecting this event to the Passover, the message underscores God's ability to deliver His people without human strategy or power. The central call is for believers to persist in specific, fervent prayer for their pressing burdens, trusting that God can produce outcomes that leave them astonished.

  • Judges Ep. 1 - Ye Did Run Well | Verse by Verse Bible Study
The bible study examines Judges chapter one, detailing the initial military campaigns of the Israelite tribes as they attempt to occupy the Promised Land. While Judah and Simeon achieve significant victories through divine aid, other tribes fail to completely drive out the Canaanite inhabitants due to military limitations or willful disobedience. The narrative highlights a stark contrast between the faithful obedience of Caleb and the compromising decisions of the majority of the tribes who chose tribute over total conquest. This partial compliance sets the stage for future conflict and spiritual decline as the nation begins to depart from God's commands. Elder Moseley emphasizes that this failure marks the beginning of a cycle of sin and judgment that defines the rest of the book.

  • Imaginary or Exaggerated Sufferings
Imaginary or Exaggerated Sufferings Some suffering is very real. But how often do pride, self-pity, fear, and ingratitude cause us to imagine suffering that isn't there, or exaggerate the trials that are? Eve focused on the one thing withheld instead of God's abundance. She imagined herself deprived and abused. Elijah believed he alone was left. Jacob cried, "All these things are against me," when God was actually working for his deliverance. And there are many other examples. Modern culture can make this worse: correction becomes "abuse," disagreement becomes "gaslighting," discomfort becomes "unsafe," and ordinary hardships become "trauma." The Bible gives another way: humility, sobriety, faith, and thanksgiving. In earlier generations, many Christian families regularly read the Bible together, along with accounts of the sufferings and sacrifices of Christians found in works such as "Foxe's Book of Martyrs." Such examples helped put ordinary trials into perspective and guarded against whining, self-pity, and imaginary or exaggerated sufferings. But today's modern religion of psychology and self-help - so often encouraging or increasing a victimhood mentality - can pour gas on the flames of pride and self-pity!
