  • Lessons from Babylon: Spiritual War
How do we think about angels in the world today? This sermon explores Daniel chapter 10 to illuminate the reality of spiritual warfare and its intersection with global politics. The preacher warns against two extremes: attributing all sin to demonic influence or ignoring the spiritual realm entirely, urging believers to maintain a balanced view of personal responsibility and divine power. By examining the vision of the glorious messenger and the conflict with the prince of Persia, the text highlights God's sovereignty despite apparent delays in His plans. The message emphasizes that while God is holy and terrifyingly powerful, He offers profound mercy through Jesus Christ, allowing believers to stand before Him. Ultimately, Christians are called to engage in spiritual battles through prayer, Bible study, and faithful obedience in their daily lives and societal structures.

  • Almighty Power!
The sermon examines the divine authority and almighty power of Jesus Christ as demonstrated in Luke 4, where He commands unclean spirits and heals the sick with immediate and complete results. It emphasizes that these acts reveal His deity, contrasting the trembling acknowledgment of the demons with the rejection of religious leaders, thereby highlighting the necessity of a saving knowledge that comes only through the Holy Spirit. The preacher argues that this same power regenerates believers, providing assurance of salvation and the complete forgiveness of sins, which is received by grace alone rather than through human effort or faith-based merit. Furthermore, the text underscores the supreme importance of preaching the gospel, asserting that Christ's mission to proclaim the kingdom of God validates the pulpit as the primary instrument for awakening sinners and edifying the church. The message concludes with an exhortation to trust in Christ's ability to save to the uttermost, encouraging believers to rest in His sufficiency and to prioritize the proclamation of His righteousness in a world that often despises the Word.

  • Jesus Sends His Disciples
The sermon expounds on Matthew chapter 10, detailing Jesus' commissioning of the twelve disciples to preach the gospel and exercise divine authority over demons and sickness. It emphasizes that this power is a gift from God, not earned through human effort, and instructs the disciples to rely on hospitality rather than material provisions while spreading the message. The speaker contrasts visible, verifiable miracles with modern skepticism, arguing that scientific reproducibility parallels the tangible proof Jesus provided. A significant portion addresses the serious consequences of rejecting the gospel, warning that such rejection carries greater judgment than the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah. Ultimately, the message calls listeners to support missionaries and actively participate in the harvest by sharing the truth with those who are lost.

  • With His Own Blood
We are preparing to enter into the most sacred and holy truth of all scripture. We come closer and closer to the beating heart of the Gospel and find the One waiting there is glorious beyond all description! He is the One who has loved us, who has given Himself for us and who will one day return and take us home to be with Him forever!! He is not the cold vengeance-filled god born of Muhammed's imagination… He is not the feeble, vapid and effete godlett of American liberal "Christianity". He is not the demon-gods of the Hindu, nor the happy fat Buddha, but He is the God of the Bible. He ALONE is God and He ALONE is worthy to be praised!! The God who holds out the glory of the Gospel is YHWH, creator of Heaven and Earth... He is Jesus Christ, YHWH made flesh, the second person of the Eternal Godhead and He has entered the true Holiest Place, entered the very throne room of Heaven and paid the ransom for our sin! He has purchased us back with the price of His Own Blood!! The most perfect sacrifice and the absolute, total payment for sin!

  • What's on the Menu?
Even in a night the disciples were utterly clueless about, Jesus had already carefully arranged every detail, right down to the surprising sorrow of betrayal, which was itself part of the plan foretold since the Old Testament. At the Passover table, Jesus reveals that he himself, not the lamb, is the true meal: take, this is my body, poured out for many, so that everything we truly need is found not in performance but in receiving him.
