  • Ancestral Bondage
The sermon examines the biblical basis for ancestral and cultural bondage, arguing that sin opens doors to demonic influence across generations. It challenges secular worldviews by asserting that evil stems from a combination of human free will, satanic deception, and systemic cultural patterns rather than divine predestination or mere psychological factors. The speaker emphasizes that while guilt is not inherited, the consequences of sin manifest physically, emotionally, and spiritually within families and societies. Through Old Testament covenant curses and New Testament teachings on spiritual warfare, the text illustrates how unconfessed sin allows enemies to maintain control over descendants. Ultimately, the message calls for a shift in worldview to recognize spiritual realities and actively break these bondages through confession and reliance on Christ's authority.

  • Strong in the Lord
The sermon exhorts believers to recognize the reality of intense spiritual warfare and the necessity of relying entirely on God's power rather than human strength. It highlights that a life of holiness and obedience inevitably invites satanic opposition, making vigilance and unity within the church critical defenses against division and defeat. The preacher emphasizes that while Christians are inherently weak and prone to sin, they possess infinite resources through their union with Christ. By actively engaging in spiritual disciplines and trusting in the Holy Spirit's empowerment, believers can withstand demonic attacks without losing their salvation or compromising their testimony. Ultimately, the message calls for expectant obedience, urging the congregation to stand firm in the Lord's might as they pursue a holy and unified community.

  • Israel’s Growth in Egypt in Spite of Pharaoh's Demonic Opposition
This sermon introduces the book of Exodus, establishing it as a sequel to Genesis that details Israel's transition from slavery in Egypt to their identity as God's covenant people. The preacher highlights how Pharaoh's oppressive strategies and infanticide attempts were ultimately thwarted by God's sovereign blessing, which caused the Israelite population to multiply despite persecution. A significant portion of the message explores the moral complexity of the Hebrew midwives' deceit, suggesting that intentional deception may be justified when protecting innocent life against tyrannical evil. The narrative is presented as a typological foreshadowing of Christ, illustrating how God's redemptive plans succeed even amidst satanic opposition and worldly hostility. Ultimately, the text affirms that God's purposes for His people are unshakeable and that He remains sovereign over all historical events.

The lowest who see the worth of Christ's suffering will always outshine the powerful who don't, because God's purpose to exalt his Son cannot be overthrown.

  • Seeking and Saving the Lost
It's a testament to the folly of our culture that the part of this story that tends to grip us the most is the fate of the porkers. Oh, the poor pigs! What does that tell us? Simply that we are so naive. We have no idea how good we have it. We have no idea what demon possession is really like. We watch it in horror movies for entertainment, if we even engage with it at all. Brothers and sisters, to the degree that you minimize the power of the demonic, to the same degree you minimize the power of Jesus, who commands the unclean spirits with a word, and they come out. If there is one thing I want you to take away this morning, it is simply this: this stuff is real! Legions of demons are real. The utter degradation and destruction of the human person is their specialty, for, of course, they are already working the utter degradation and destruction of their angelic personhood. Their malice seeks fresh victims, and finds them in the sons of men for whom God cares. Oh, yes, this stuff is real. Please don't be naive. Instead, marvel at the power and glory of Christ, who risks His life traveling across the sea to save a single demon-possessed man from a legion so horrifying that our minds will hardly even engage with their reality.
