Hope is a crucial part of life, and the only place to find true and lasting hope is in Jesus!

Patience isn't just about being slower to anger, it's about following God - letting him set the pace and plan for our lives!

This week we had a wonderful time enjoying worship through fellowship together on our Coffee Break Sunday, and then we had a chance to hear testimonies from our Kenya missions team that returned just a couple of weeks ago.  Praise God for the amazing work he is doing all around the world, and for the incredible ways he was at work in our team members' lives!

We lost the first couple of minutes of Pastor Dennis' sermon this week, sorry, but it was really good stuff too we promise!  

This week Pastor Dennis reminds us that the call to be Self-Controlled as we follow Jesus does not come from our own effort, but the Spirit living in us.  We need to be connected to the Vine in order to live the life we're called to live!

The peace that God promises us is far different than what we can try to create for ourselves.  God's peace is with us even in the most trying and difficult circumstances, and it fills us even when it doesn't make sense!

Jesus is alive!  He has conquered sin and death for us, that we can be with our creator once again!

Our sin separated us from God, but he sacrifice of Jesus gives us hope.

Joy isn't happiness, joy is knowing God!

If we want to be like Jesus, we have to live a love that looks different from what we normally experience.  Real love, God's love, is unconditional, sacrificial, and forgiving.

If we want to act like Jesus, we need to be able to talk about the wonderful news of the Kingdom of God, just like he did!
