Dennis Has A Podcast

Our good friend Adam Lucidi recaps his WrestleMania 29 experience from Axxess to the Hall of Fame to the event itself. Which big star did Adam meet on the day of the show? What were the highlights and lowlights of the weekend and the big event itself? Dennis and Adam go through it all. Jeremy the Critic joins me to remember a major influence in his writing career and life, Roger Ebert.

Our friend Adam Touchet, Louisiana comedian and wrestling fiend, joins the show once again to preview Wrestlemania 29. We talk “Twice in a Lifetime”, Brock Lesnar vs. Man of Many H’s, CM Punk vs. The Undertaker’s streak, Chris Jericho vs. Fandango and more! As random as the episode title suggests, our heroes Dennis & Emily explore the scope of the world including what one couple did to get over 1,000 donuts, what athlete has some of the coolest rides in sports, Opening Day for the Mets, and some awesome stories of special connections some awesome dads have with their kids. Our favorite resident sports genius AJ Fiore (@juice33nyc) joins me to talk Opening Day for baseball in the greatest city in the world, along with some Knicks and NBA talk, and Rangers, Islanders and NHL home stretch talk. We also discuss Mike Rice’s exit from Rutgers, some Twitter baseball, and have a whole lot of laughs!

I had just about as much fun talking to Nanette Deasy, Jeff O’Leary, and Danielle Montezinos of The Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble as I’ve had doing almost any other episode of my show. It was a joy hearing these talented performers do an improv scene from their upcoming show “The Groovy Gang Adventures”, talking improv and their unique take on the genre, their upcoming slate of summer shows, and, heck, they even let me play a game with them!  Check out IRTE at their website http://irteinfo.wix.com/irte, follow them on Twitter @IRTE_improv, like them on Facebook, check them out at Gotham City Improv on April 6th and 20th, at The PIT on April 10th, and at their other shows all summer long!

We love having notes and we love hardly touching them… this week we went over an hour without breaking a sweat! This week Dennis and Emily spend some time lamenting some more Mets misfortune before discussing The Game of Thrones exhibit in midtown, our friend the Photobombing Dog, ridiculous prom invites, retiring at White Castle, and so much more! Follow Emily on Twitter @emily_barrett, follow Dennis @DHAP24, listen to every episode on Stitcher and iTunes, and check out DennisHasAPodcast.com!

So, Dennis and Emily didn’t win the over $330,000,000 Powerball jackpot this week, but they discuss how they would spend their lottery winnings should they ever win. Things also on the discussion table this week include seeing eye dogs for blind dogs, Tom Hanks hijinks, Twitter’s 7th Birthday, free burritos for a lucky major leaguer and more! Follow Emily on Twitter @emily_barrett, Dennis at @DHAP24, listen to every episode on Stitcher Radio and on iTunes… comment, subscribe, thumbs up, 5 stars, tell your friends! DennisHasAPodcast.com!

Jeremy Samis, our friend over at JeremyTheCritic.blogspot.com, joins me to talk which of our favorite past TV shows we would love to see revived into movie powered by the fans and Kickstarter, like Veronica Mars has been able to do! We also chat a little bit about the Oscars and late night TV. Always a fun chat to have Jeremy on!

With the “Spring Dating Season” upon us, Dennis and Emily compare Dennis’ singles life with Emily’s relational bliss. Our duo also examine the unspoken actions that say “I love you” and tackle Emily’s fear of the “quarter-life crisis”… Dennis thinks is may just be a stirring in her soul.
