So many of us try to be like celebrities, athletes, or influencers, thinking it'll make us feel better. But their lives are unique. 
Be cautious about who you follow. Understand that what works for one person might not work for you. Take responsibility for your actions. Stop looking for answers from others. Figure out what works for you and stick with it. Don’t waste time trying to be like others who have different resources and lifestyles. Remember their concern is not you. 

I want to talk about addiction, specifically my sex addiction, and my struggle to be honest about it. In the last couple of months, dealing with my mom's passing, my sex addiction resurfaced. I spent hours on websites and apps, seeking validation from strangers. It took me a while to realize I was wasting time and money, and the people I interacted with didn't care about me.
Addiction isn't just about the act; it's about numbing pain, seeking gratification, and dealing with loneliness. I recognized my behavior patterns and took steps to stop, like deleting apps and managing my time better. It's crucial to understand how our actions affect others and ourselves.
We often seek validation from strangers, but real connections come from those who truly know and love us. It’s important to find healthy ways to cope and not let addiction define us.

Every time you turn around—social media, news, sports, politics, religion—people are suffering emotionally through the maze of information. Whether its real news, fake news, or someones opinion, social media fuels it, with everyone chiming in, which always problematic.

Since 2015, I've had my fair share of amazing and also detrimental experiences with dating apps, and I've learned some invaluable lessons about myself and the dark side of dating apps.

Today, I find myself reflecting on the challenges our kids face—drug addiction, mental health issues, social media and peer pressure, and the solutions to these often start within the family.I'm dismayed by the role of family involvement and the lack of schools teaching life skills. It's heartbreaking to think about the struggles kids endure, from learning disabilities to hunger and homelessness as well as emotional and physical abuse. The generational nature of problems like depression and addiction makes breaking these cycles the main priority to help all of these children. I believe mental health issues should be addressed openly in schools, with programs for both the students and parents led by qualified professionals. Parents suffer through depression and anxiety and their work often plays a factor in their inability to help their children when needed. Many children do not have the proper nutrition and access to food at home, and schools need to do a better job of providing to those in need. If a family member turns to medication to soothe their own emotional issues, they are the mirror for the child, and that is not acceptable.I’m convinced we need better family support, comprehensive mental health education, and qualified help to truly make a difference. It wasn't easy, especially for someone who has always been a giver like Preston. However, he came to the realization that holding onto things that didn't serve him put his well-being at risk. And that's a compromise he's no longer willing to make.
