  • 73. My Heart's Garden -- Charity Rios

Do you have lies that you are believing that you need to replace with the truth? Perhaps you tell yourself, I am just not smart enough or brave enough. Maybe you don’t have enough time or you think you are not strong enough or good enough.  What if we could replace these lies with truth?

I am so excited to have Charity Rios on my podcast this week and we talk about her new children’s book, My Heart's Garden. This book shows us how to tend our hearts, to replace the weeds of lies with seeds of truth so our heart’s garden can thrive. Charity and I talk about common lies we struggle with, shame, the enemy, and the power of Scripture. I cannot wait for you to hear the practical examples of how to teach this to your kids. Honestly, I love when a children’s book can speak truth into adults just as much as the kids, and I believe this beautiful exchange from lies to truth is so important for all ages. I promise you do not want to miss Charity’s wisdom.

Also, I am so excited for someone to win a copy of Charity’s children’s book: *My Heart's Garden and the My Heart's Garden Workbook. • 70. Love Languages -- Brownlee Sisters

Do you know your sibling’s love language?  Your kid’s love language? Your parents?  How about your friends? Valentine’s Day is all about romantic love, but I want to look at it from a different angle today. What if we looked at all of our relationships through the lens of love languages?

I am so excited to have all 3 of my sisters on the podcast today as we dive deeper into love languages. We share about our primary love language and some fun stories and examples of how we feel loved. It was fun hearing stories from my childhood as well as some from present day too. We also give lots of practical advice and tools to help us love those with a different love language than us. My goal for this podcast episode is to raise our “other-awareness” and help us learn how to love our family and friends better by becoming aware of what fills their love tank.

  • 66. Just Breathe -- Andrea Bourgeois

I am so excited to have Andrea Bourgeois on the podcast this week as we talk about her new Bible study, *Just Breathe: a modern day Exodus Journey to Revive Your Soul.  What I love is that she parallels our walk with Jesus with the Israelites journey through the wilderness to the Promised Land. We talk about what is it like to be in the wilderness season as Andrea shares her pain to purpose story. We also discuss what it is like to cross over into the promised land, and I love the practical ideas we share for gathering those remembrance stones.

Also, I find it fascinating that God provided for the Israelites daily with the manna as well as the cloud by day and pillar by night. Maybe like me, you set a goal to spend time with God daily this year. Did you ever wonder why daily is so important?  In the Bible, it says, our daily bread, not weekly or monthly. Excited to dive deeper into the importance of daily meeting with God on this episode too.

I promise you will not want to miss the truths Andrea shares.
