In this month's English episode, Willi and Aaron reflect on a recent event from last week. Inspired by the Global Reach Conference at Faith Baptist Bible College, our fellowship of churches here in Bavaria held our very first Missions Information Day. Several ministries, including our church plant, showcased their work. This was a special day for Aaron, as it marked the first time our church plant was officially introduced to the public.
In light of this, Willi and Aaron take a moment to discuss the history of our fellowship of churches in Bavaria. From its humble beginnings, founded by American missionaries, to its current state as a thriving network of 13 Baptist churches—most of which are led by German pastors. Aaron also shares the story behind the church plant's name and the thought process involved in choosing it.
The conversation shifts to the evolution of church planting, from the early days of pioneering missionaries to modern-day planting with teams. Though many new churches are now led by Germans, there is still an important role for partnering with missionaries from the United States.
Before diving into these topics, Aaron and Willi also touch on the recent Valentine's Day banquet and couples' retreat, emphasizing the significance of these events for strengthening marriages within our churches.
