Derrick White MVP Chants As Celtics Beat Knicks
The Celtics beat the Knicks 133-123 and improve to 16-5 on season including an impressive 10-0 at home. This was a fun game to watch if you like offense. The Celtics shooting woes turned around in this one as they shot 52% from the field and 40% from 3. We finally saw the floor spacing and shot making that we saw earlier in the season which was great to see and I don't think its a coincidence that this was Porzingis's return.
Derrick White was sensational tonight which led to him receiving some MVP chants down the stretch. He led the way with 30pts in this one including some excellent plays down the stretch when the Knicks were making runs. This was a very well balanced game with our top 6 scoring in double figures. The Celtics played fairly well defensively forcing Randle to turn the ball over 6 times but give some credit to the Knicks for shooting the ball the way they did. there have been games this year where we've given up a lot of points because of poor rotations but this wasn't one of them. The Celtics got out to shooters fine and contested everything but the Knicks hit a lot of tough shots. This was a solid win for the Celtics and it is certainly nice having Porzingis back.
