It has been a beautiful week here in California - warm and outdoorsy! It will be fire season soon enough and we are expecting another drought year so we are out enjoying the hiking as much as we can, as long as we are allowed to be maskless.

Our hearts are heavy with the news from India as our friends and family are affected. We are here to help in any way we can and will always be here to do so. Do write to us if we can.

This week, we review Altbalaji's HisStory, SonyLIV's Kathmandu Connection. Karan Johar's Searching for Sheela - the Osho connection documentary on Netflix and of course the weekly review with the fans of the serial Shaurya Aur Anokhi ki Kahani as Ankitta calls us in from Delhi to tell us what the fans are thinking and Scott makes his prediction on what he thinks Shaurya will do man to man. Stakes are high.

Shriya was busy with exams so Scott and Miraal had a fun time chatting.... we missed you Shriya.

We also will speak about Parth Samthaan's new Gangster series Mein Hero Bol Raha Hoon on @altbalaji which gave us old Bombay Bollywood vibes - totally lit!! We enjoyed this new Parth avatar.
Then we reviewed a series we absolutely LOVED - Vikram Bhatt's murder mystery thriller on @MXplayer called Bisaat. Woah!! OTT dude.  Just the whole damn package is straight outta d park in the classic thriller genre and cherry on top are the actors.  There is a reason why Mr. Bhatt is the best in this game.
We also had Ankitta from the Fandom of Star Plus series Shaurya Anokhi Ki Kahani over again with their analysis of what happened and how they see the story unfold around their nuanced characters. Fun convo. Check it out!

Our fav @ShishiMusic. We picked up this week-this tune that Shishi had mixed in Tulum last year and we had fallen in love with. Especially when played in a club full of people dancing with no regrets. Zayn is settling into his new bachelorhood but did come over to eat biryani last weekend - left grumpy because he thought it wasn't salty enough. He needs his taste buds checked.

We are back after our break. Scott has had fun. And so has Shreya. Miraal not si much. She has had a terrible time recovering from her first Rona shot. Others not as much. As she says, which shot have you had is the new, which part of town are you from, she is from Moderna and Scott and Shriya from Pfizer, you see. Bruh!

We reviewed this week Koi Jaane Na, which was euphonious to the ears and visually so splendid.

We also reviewed the anthology on Netflix called Ajeeb Daastaans which Miraal actually loved so much that she praised K'Jo, The other two people on the show almost choked.

Last but not the least, Shriya and Scott reminisced their own youth and days of spontaneous flings when they were in the age of infinite alternatives of self-sabotage when they reviewed T&F -the story of profound complications of “commitment-phobia Milleninals that released on Netflix.

We also changed the format of the show a bit this time.   We reviewed a serial our viewers were demanding we restarted doing daily reviews for, like before the pandemic, which they liked  for its etched, well-written, characters within the Indian Television circles ( yes, not Ekta Kapoor characters, what were you thinking. Duh)
 We invited fans over to review with us.
Hey, who better to critique a show than the people who make the show or break it down. We invited Ankitta over - who called in all the way from New Delhi in the middle of her night for us, to break down the plot and the characters of the @starplus show Shaurya Aur Anokhi ki Kahani for us which all of us here at Desis.
