The Great Search - Resistive touch screen driver replacement for STMPE610/STMPE811

A week or two ago we showed off some mechanical keyboard ideas we had. Well, prototypes came a few days ago and we quickly threw together prototypes for the individual MX/Kailh breakout and a dual-key FeatherWing. The reverse-mount NeoPixel works with a simple fix, too. We also threw togehter a DVI breakout for use with RP2040 video demos and tested it. ForStemma Sunday, the TCA4307 is a hot-swapping I2C adapter, helpful to avoid bus glitching for hot-plug I2C buses!

Like many great parts, our go-to resistive touch controller chip, the STMPE family, has finally gone completely EOL - we are no longer able to source this part. Time to find a replacement! Lets find one with good pricing, and Linux Kernel compatibility. Will we be able to find one that is both I2C and SPI? Tune into The Great Search to find what we picked out for sampling!
