Simple to use on a browser ctrl+”+” to increase the font size and ctrl+”-” to decrease the font size and ctrl+”0(zero)” to return it to Browser default settings – usually 100%

snap revert – reverts package to previous version along with data
snap find – “media players” will search snap store for media players
snap info – to get information about a specific snap

xdotool – This tool lets you simulate keyboard input and mouse activity, move and resize windows, etc. It does this using X11’s XTEST extension and other Xlib functions.

– While Linux is very stable as a rule there are times when you need to kill an application that is working incorrectly.
– One of my favorite commands to kill a frozen windows is xkill. When you type this command in a terminal you get a cross hair cursor and any window you select is forcefully terminated

Apropos is a powerful command in the terminal that can help you find the command you need to use. No need to memorize everything. Just memorize apropos instead and your good. For example apropos “move file” gives you the git-rm, mv, and rm commands.

DNF History provides you with a list of all DNF based transactions or commands you used, dates and times of when you used them and packages affected, etc.
The most powerful part of dnf history though is the ability to undo these changes. Utilizing actions like:
Ex: dnf history undo id
sudo !! which will add sudo to your last command in case you forgot to include sudo
– alias please=”sudo !!”

Xfce Tips & Tricks:
Create your own dock in Xfce by creating another panel and autohiding
Use my monitor switching script on Github to add shortcut key to move windows between monitors.
Xfce-goodies install (extra artwork, quick launchers, etc.)
Xfce has a layout switcher – called Xfce PanelSwitch so if you don’t like the default layout you can easily try something else
Software Spotlight:
Etcher – Reliable, simple and it’s fast. Most people may say to DD but there are mistakes that can happen with dd so we normally recommend Etcher.
