This morning we continued with part two of our series and looked at how we can respond when a setback is not our fault. We looked at the story of Paul where, despite having warned the crew, still finds himself on a ship that would eventually fall apart because of a great storm.
We answered three very important questions.
1) What causes people to make bad choices that create setbacks and storms for others?,
2) What we need to know about these storms that we can avoid,
3) What we need to remember when we are in a storm that’s wrecking the ship we are on so that we are able to survive.
Acts 27:9-10 9 Now when much time had been spent, and sailing was now dangerous because the Fast was already over, Paul advised them, saying, “Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.” Nevertheless the centurion was more persuaded by the helmsman and the owner of the ship than by the things spoken by Paul.
