In Peter's undergrad thesis, they explored the idea of the nation-state and how it is constructed through the collective imagination of different groups of people. They thought it would be interesting to look at the vibrant world of Avatar the Last Airbender and the Legend of Korra, a world built on the premise of there being four distinct nations, and see how the shows can help us understand imagined communities.
