    Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's Prime Minister, addressed Congress in Washington D.C. today, attempting to bolster support for the war against Hamas. During the speech, Michigan Representative Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian member of congress, held up signs that said 'Guilty of Genocide' and 'War Criminal'

    In Lansing today, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed the state's $82+ billion dollar annual budget. During the signing, Whitmer said the "intentional" budget will help the state accomplish their 'Make It In Michigan' plan.

  • Detroit Riverfront Conservancy sues former CFO alleged to have stolen $40M

    According to WWJ's Jonathan Carlson, lawyers for the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy have filed suit against former CFO William Smith along with his wife, mother, sister and a friend. Smith faces decades in prison if convicted in the theft.

    44-year old Michael Lopez, the man accused of murdering 23-year old Melvindale Officer Mohammed Said on Sunday could be charged as early as today. Lopez is currently being housed in the Detroit Detention Center.

  • Bystanders dive in and save driver's life after car plunges into Lake St. Clair

    WWJ's Luke Sloan reports a car drove into Lake St. Clair around 12:30 this afternoon near the border of St. Clair Shores and Grosse Pointe Woods. Police say three bystanders jumped into the water to save the man who was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    Trenton Police say a juvenile made bomb threat this morning to a local recreation center this morning. According to WWJ's Jeremy Jenkins, nothing suspicious was found at the rec center and police were able to trace the call back to the juvenile's home.

  • Secret Service head out after assassination attempt, congressional grilling

    The now former head of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, tendered her resignation today following a failed attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally earlier this month. Cheatle spent time in the Secret Service's Detroit Field Office int he 1990s.

    WWJ's Tracey McCaskill says driving on deteriorating and congested roads is costing Michiganders $17 billion annually, that according to a new AAA survey. The average resident of the Detroit area loses about $3,000 a year on the roads.
