Welcome to the final episode of Season 1 of the DEUCE Racing podcast! A big thank you to all for listening over this past year. We've got one hell of a community that is vulnerably pursuing their best life, and this final episode with Colton Waltner is certainly one hell of a guest to finish with.
From pro baseball player to current DEUCE Coach and Staff member, Colton Waltner has never shied away from the hard work it takes, day in and day out, to forge the ordinary into the extraordinary. Colton lives life with his hands in the dirt, and after listening to this episode, you'll want to, too.
How could you ever understand someone if you never took the time to get to know them?
Demar Traylor embodies this. Incarcerated for 16 years and now a growing leader in the DEUCE Community, Demar's story is nothing short of exceptional.
Niki G is an integral part of the DEUCE Team and guess what? She doesn't actually train at DEUCE!
"My status is straight kicking it," she says with a smile.
Though you may not have met Niki in the yard before, if you've ever looked at our website, viewed a DEUCE asset, engaged with Agency Standard or even participated in our Lift | Run | Hang event this past summer, you're surely already familiar with her. That's because Niki is our digital production wizard (seriously, to describe what she does as anything less than wizardry would be an understatement). And she has a remarkable self-taught story about how she came to work in design.
Anyone who listens to this episode is sure to find inspiration to start new projects without succumbing to paralysis by analysis, to exercise more creativity, and to seek more engagement with those who you share collaborative chemistry with.
She offers such infectious encouragement to bring ideas to life. "Get what you need out there, and then you can always adjust."

“I think when you’re in a metropolis like this – a sprawl, so many people – it’s easy to get lost and it’s easy to forget who you are, and it’s easy to feel insignificant. And I felt like DEUCE became this little flower that pops up on the sidewalk between the cracks. Where it felt like, okay, I belong here. This is my little corner of the world, of LA, of Venice.”
Tim Brown, ladies and gentleman. One of the original members of DEUCE Gym, it is with great excitement that I'd like to share with you the latest episode of the DEUCE Racing Podcast, featuring Tim!
Tim is the type of person that makes the yard more comfortable, just by being in it. And, much like with his incredibly impressive, decorated career in journalism, after listening to this episode, you'll better understand and appreciate how the charm that surrounds Tim wherever he is is no coincidence. Not only that, but it's accessible to you too..
Warmly inviting you to listen to Episode 16 with this one-of-a-kind man, myth, and legend.
TJ Stafford makes music. Pretty incredible music, mind you. Fascinated by the creative process, and what we can distill from experts in their craft, like TJ, who are committed to a lifetime of continual production, I asked him about his process for creating new songs. “Does it come to you?”
His reply spoke volumes: “If I start.”
In this latest episode of the DEUCE Racing Podcast, TJ brilliantly speaks about the entire spectrum – light and dark included – of life as an artist, as well as the importance of simply staying in motion – with whatever it is you do in life.
Oh, and by the way(!)… Since releasing this podcast, TJ’s latest album, “The Death of Zossima”, has made the Official Ballot for Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song (“THE CURE”), Best New Artist, and Best Engineered Album for this year’s Grammy Awards by The Recording Academy!
Go on, get those headphones out and sit back for a real treat of an episode. As always, inviting you to like, subscribe, and share with friends and family!

From a young age, Darryl Stingley saw comic books, cartoons and superheroes, and was inspired to do what they do.
Fast forward to today, and Darryl "Wavy" Stingley is one of the greatest parkour athletes in the world. Not only has he transcended the sport as an athlete, but also, as a teacher, thanks to his one-of-a-kind skillset, body of experience, infectious passion, and commitment to development that is ever-evolving.
Oh, and did we mention? He'll be at DEUCE Gym THIS SATURDAY, September 25, to deliver the first of its kind Parkour Seminar.
If you've ever wondered what parkour is, how to do it - particularly, the skills necessary for development and how to do them - or if you're "fit" enough to do parkour (spoiler: parkour is for everyone), Darryl is quite literally the human being you want teaching you! Inviting you all to tune into this special episode of the DEUCE Racing Podcast with the man who has curated a profound ability to distill the complexity of parkour into simple terms and application.
Admiration of mastery is one thing, but the opportunity to be guided toward pursuing it yourself - and in an accessible way - is next-level humanitarianism.
Enjoy this conversation and we'll see you Saturday...

DEUCE Family, it is my absolute honor to share with you the latest episode of the DEUCE Racing podcast, featuring our exceptional founder & extraordinary all-around human being, Logan Gelbrich.
This episode dives deep into a number of rich topics, including Logan’s core values and how they have shaped his life, how DEUCE has remained the same and how it has changed over the past 10 years, and how DEUCE’s model for developing coaches transpired and has evolved. Logan also vulnerably shares how “strengths aren’t just strengths,” including his experience learning to navigate the shadows that they cast.
I’d say I hope that you enjoy this episode, but the truth is, I already know you’ll be moved by it. I met Logan 3.5 years ago and believe me when I tell you that I will forever remember – like the back of my hand – how kind, patient, and open-minded he was. Look, there are no shortage of inspiring people out there, but Logan is the rare type of person that helps you not just believe, but take action, towards pursuing your best life.
As always, cheers to vulnerably going for it. Inviting you to listen, like, and share with others!

“I would rather try something than say ‘What if?’”
Baylor Baugh, a midday regular, moved to LA from Tennessee three years ago and has been a part of DEUCE’s community for about a year now. By trade, Baylor works in business management and is a VP of Copyright Administration. But by heart, Baylor is and has always been devoted to music.
In this week’s episode, we talk about all the ups and downs of Baylor’s journey towards actualizing her dream – to become a country singer. And, surprise(!) Baylor is soon releasing her first-ever single, Little Things!
This conversation is sure to encourage you to reflect on your own dreams, especially the ones you had as a little kid, as well as inspire you – to exercise a deeper appreciation for all the little things in your life.

And just like that, the DEUCE Racing Podcast is in the double digits for episodes! On this week’s episode, you’ll get to meet the one-of-a-kind, exceptionally humble and nurturing, Nyesha Arrington.
Not only does Nyesha have a special story about finding her greatest passion, cooking, at an incredibly young age, she also has a particularly special gift for storytelling. Throughout this episode, you’re guaranteed to find yourself drifting off into a warm space of appreciation and admiration for everything that Nyesha talks about. But equally so, you’ll experience how listening to her so clearly describe her passion – and staying true to it despite numerous obstacles along the way – can will lend itself to rich, nourishing reflection for you to consider regarding your own passions.
For Nyesha, everything can be distilled to its nucleus; the act of finding the common denominator. The one that unites a singular thing to a far more expansive, collective, connected world. Nyesha, forever a student, is fiercely committed to a growth mindset, and believes intellectual birth should commence at birth, and really only cease at the end of life. All this goes without saying, the work she does and the grace in which she does it is astonishing.
Folks, there’s simply nothing else I can say other than this: you’re gonna glow after listening to this episode!
