Deuteronomy 6 calls God’s people to love Him with all their heart, soul, and strength through the Shema: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” God’s commands are to be written on the heart, shaping every thought, word, and action. This chapter teaches that true obedience is not outward ritual but inward devotion, guarding against idolatry and remaining faithful to the Lord. Deuteronomy 6 shows that loving God means living in wholehearted covenant faithfulness that flows from a transformed heart.
