On this episodes of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman brings you the press conference of Devin Townsend live from Hellfest in France.

Devin starts by talking about his experience of the pandemic after the first speaker thanks him for being staying around while all the events of the last two years were unfolding. He talks about how people realised during the pandemic that there is no difference between the artists and the audience and that helped a lot. He continues to talk about his personal experience during the pandemic and how he coped.

An interesting question which was posed to Devin was that during the pandemic, he performed some awesome virtual concerts with some great effects and a great personal feel to them, but would he ever return to that format. Devin talks about what he loves about the job but particularly how he doesn’t like the attention and some other aspects of the job, and so he realised he can do a lot from home, and will tour less in the future.

One of the final questions asked was about Devin and his creativity, especially on stage. They ask if they had a budget like Kiss have, what would their stage look like. Devin says he would have a massive choir and an orchestra. He also says he loves absurdity and explains some of the wild ideas he has for some live shows.
