2nd Name of Jesus in Isaiah 9 is Mighty God.
    Matthew 8:23-27
23 Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. 24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. 27 The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”

  • GO2020 - Week 3
    GO2020: HERE
    • Only 8% of regular church attenders believe that sharing their faith is “very important.”
    • Almost 50% of Christians think that most non-Christians have no interest in hearing about Jesus.
    • 78% of the unchurched would listen to someone who shared what they believed about Christianity.
    • 3 out of 4 Christians (74%) seldom have a “spiritual conversation” with anyone.
    • 2 out of 3 Christians (65%) say it is better to share your faith by the way you live, rather than to speak about it.
    • Almost half of all faith sharers (45%) never share their story of how they came to Christ.
    • 52% of all “Christians” believe that non-Christian faiths can lead to eternal life.
    Luke 10:1-3
1 The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit. 2 These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. 3 Now go, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves.
    • THE HARVEST IS GREAT
    • THE WORKERS ARE FEW
    • PRAY TO THE LORD
    • NOW GO AND REMEMBER
    • LOOK, PRAY, GO...LEAVE THE OUTCOMES TO GOD.
    Luke 10: 4-11,16
4 Don’t take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag, nor an extra pair of sandals. And don’t stop to greet anyone on the road. 5 “Whenever you enter someone’s home, first say, ‘May God’s peace be on this house.’ 6 If those who live there are peaceful, the blessing will stand; if they are not, the blessing will return to you. 7 Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve their pay.
8 “If you enter a town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you. 9 Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’ 10 But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say, 11 ‘We wipe even the dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate. And know this—the Kingdom of God is near!’
16 Then he said to the disciples, “Anyone who accepts your message is also accepting me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me. And anyone who rejects me is rejecting God, who sent me.”
    BOTTOM LINE:
God uses us to do the work of sharing the good news of Jesus.
Our job is to go then share and leave the harvest outcomes to God.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE ON MISSION?
    Acts 1:8
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere-in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE ON MISSION?
    • Live with purpose
    • Live with passion
    • Live for others
    Acts 18:9-11
9 One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, “Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent! 10 For I am with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city belong to me.” 11 So Paul stayed there for the next year and a half, teaching the word of God.
WHAT KEEPS US FROM LIVING ON MISSION?
    • Fear
    • Comfort
    • Time/Busyness
    • Finances
    Isaiah 41:9-10
I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. 10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
    Isaiah 42:5-9
5 God, the Lord, created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth. And it is he who says,
6 “I, the Lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will take you by the hand and guard you, and I will give you to my people, Israel, as a symbol of my covenant with them. And you will be a light to guide the nations. 7 You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons
8 “I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols. 9 Everything I prophesied has come true, and now I will prophesy again. I will tell you the future before it happens.”
    Romans 10:14-15
14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
You will never know all God can do with you until you allow him to have all that you are

DON’T WAIT UNTIL YOU THINK YOU ARE READY
    1 Corinthians 1:26-28
Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise.
And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.

    John 15: 12-13

    FALSE ACCUSATIONS
