  • Stay Diligent and Serve the Kingdom of God
Pastoral Intern, Michael Knight, leads us through Mark 13:32-37 as Jesus charges his disciples to stay alert. For just as the master will return at any time, an hour or day which no one knows, so will it be with the end of the age. Therefore, he calls his people to remain on guard and continue completing the tasks laid before us. May our Lord and master bless us upon his return as those who have not slumbered in our duties.

  • The Gift that Touched the Heart of Jesus
Pastoral Intern, Brandon Pisacrita, points us to Mark's story about the widow's mite. Jesus and the disciples observe the giving of the scribes and a lowly widow. Jesus is touched by the widow's offering because she gave all that she had. Our own giving is reflected in our talents, time, and treasure. What can you offer to Christ today?

  • Offended by Jesus?
Jesus brings his ministry and teaching back to his hometown of Nazareth. All seems to be going well when those closest to him take offense at him all of a sudden. We are right to be disappointed and feel bad for our Lord, but we do better to ask ourselves, "Am I ever offended by Jesus?" The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to mold us and shape us into the Son of God. We have to be in the Word and willing to respond with faith, especially when God confronts us from the Bible with things we need to address in our lives.
