  • He Has Made Everything Beautiful In His Time

He Has Made Everything Beautiful In His Time

    Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. 9 What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He as made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

There are times in my life when I literally stress myself out with frustration and worry over something or someone who I could be stressed and worried from now through eternity and it would not change one thing in that situation, other only cause to me to be miserable in every way, spirit, soul, and body, even to the point of my blood pressure having gone up too high. God has everything, and I mean everything, timed out to the minutest second of time. We have no control over the timing of our lives nor the seasons of our lives. We can’t stop growing as a child, unless we’re desperately ill. We will grow from infant size into a full-grown adult without any pressure we can put on ourselves to grow, other than starving or mutilating ourselves. God’s seasons will come. Aging will come to us all, no matter how proudly we may proclaim when we are young and full of VIP and vinegar, that we will always be strong and vigorous, yet given the passing of time, the knees begin to ache, the eyes begin to dim, and bedtime can look pretty good at a much earlier hour than when we were young. There is great beauty with each season, especially for those of us who live in the Northeast, the coming and going of each one expected and pretty much celebrated, other than that long winter who always takes his time leaving. Spring with its new babylike intro of little nests and baby birds, to budding hyacinths perfuming our flower plots as a greeting to renewal again. Summer, with its tantalizing warmth, and fall, oh fall with its magnificent display of color. And yet, once again winter makes his grand entrance with frigid cold and challenging snow yet shining so mesmerizingly after a storm. Such is life, one season almost leaving and another entering seemingly unnoticed. Yet our passage today tells us God knows each day and hour of each season of our lives. How easy it is to get lost in time, not realizing each day takes us closer to our eternal home. But here’s the question—are we recognizing each season of our lives and drinking in the nectar and goodness of each one, or do we grudgingly just trod through it always looking over the horizon for a supposed better day and hour? Lord help us to be present in the season we are in. Helpful to be mindful of the beauty and blessing of each day. Help us, Lord to live to the fullest, enjoying our life and having a firm grasp that You make all things, all seasons beautiful in our lives in Your time and in Your way.

What about you? Are you seeing the beauty of the season you presently are in? Are you discontent and choosing to be sad and disappointed or are you full of God’s love and joy, making and embracing happiness as your choice? I pray you are. Have a beautiful day in Him.

  • So, You Want to be Rich?!

So, You Want to be Rich?!

    Deuteronomy 8:18

And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

The word “power” in Hebrew means vigor, strength, force, capacity, wealth, means, or substance. Generally the word means “capacity” or “ability,” whether physical, mental, or spiritual. Here Moses informs the children of Israel that the Lord Himself is the one who gives to them the ability, the wherewithal (power, means, endurance, capacity) to obtain wealth, for material blessings are a part of what is included in the promises to the men and women in the Bible, the patriarchs and their descendants. In Deuteronomy 8:17, Moses seriously warns the Israelites not to falsely conclude that this capacity for material blessings and success is a natural ability and talent, but to humbly acknowledge and recognize that what they are blessed with only and truly comes from God. Here’s a big truth—God prospers us so that we can bless others. Wealth doesn’t exist so that we can hoard or heap it up to splurge on ourselves over and over again. Wealth, when we have been so blessed, should exist to establish and shine brightly to show others the verification of the covenant that is ours with Him. It should not be hoarded or squandered selfishly on ourselves. This isn’t to cancel out the understanding that God wants our own personal needs to be met, and to even have our heart’s desires. But after our needs are met, what are we to do with the access surplus of God’s blessings on our lives? Can we actually live in more than one house at a time? Here’s the truth plainly spoken—Our heavenly Father desires that we use our abundance to bless others, especially those who without whatever we can do, would have no chance or opportunity in this lifetime to better themselves in any way. God wants us to have wealth. Slow down and study the Scriptures to hear His heart and thinking on the matter. But know this—money is only a part of wealth. Someone can have billions and still be very poor. Being wealthy is more than having tons of money and things. We need great wisdom both 1) to receiving God’s covenant of prosperity— to be able to handle gaining wealth without it controlling us; and 2) to see its vastness and intent for every part of our being—that with wealth and health, peace and friends—the bottom line is we humbly are to serve others. God’s covenanted prosperity always has great purpose. He will direct, challenge, and most importantly take us deeper into knowing Him, knowing His thoughts and direction for those He would use us to bless with the wealth He has given.

What about you? What would you do with your life if God blessed you with great wealth? Would you forget about God and do your own thing, or would you find great joy in blessing others? Search your heart today. See where your real treasure is, piled up here on earth, or building spiritual treasures in heaven? Are you willing to be a great blessing to others? I pray you are. Great multiplied blessings on your day.

  • Rest and Relaxation

    Rest and Relaxation

    Genesis 2:2-3

And on the seventh day God finished his work that He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work that He had done. So, God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all His work that he had done in creation.

Much thought has gone into the strong consistent pattern in my head of why I think thoughts that I should always be up and moving, working, doing something. You may have these recurring notions as well as me. I don’t know if it comes from our Puritan work ethic background as a nation, or if I feel that others around me will think that I’m lazy if I’m not up moving, doing something. I’ve been told more than once that I am very hard on myself, which is probably very true. I want things right in my life, my home clean and organized. As my Grama would often say to me as a little girl growing up, “Everything in its place and a place for everything.” This was her admonition to me as an up-and-coming young lady to encourage me to keep my life and surroundings in good order. Yet there have been quite a few times I have sacrificed relaxing and even resting in lieu of doing what I perceived as something that needed to be done right at the moment. I believe Martha in the Bible, the sister to Mary and Lazarus, had the same struggle. She wanted things “just right,” and wanted everyone to have everything they needed, food, comfort, etc. while they were visiting in her home. Yet here was Jesus in the flesh, right there in her home, visiting and fellowshipping with everyone, speaking truths and prophetic words, yet her desire to be up doing was greater at that moment than anything Jesus possibly was saying at that moment. So, let’s pause right here and ponder this. What have we missed because we felt the same as Martha on our life’s journey? Special moments with our mates, or our children. We only get one chance at that specific moment to catch the laughter, the fun, the precious happening. Don’t miss the laughter, the smiles, the cuteness, the cuddles. We can also be so hard on our bodies, driving them way past the place of sensible endurance. A short nap, oh no! There are dirty dishes in my sink! Sit out in the sun and enjoy the breeze and antics of the dogs? Oh no, there’s laundry that needs to be caught up with! And before you know it, the sun has gone down, the dogs are asleep in their beds, and you’ve missed the beauty of the day. Dear one, we only go around once. Take time to laugh with your friends, cuddle your little ones, take the ride and enjoy an ice cream cone, stop for the cup of coffee. You are entitled to rest and relax just as much as anyone else, and even as our heavenly Father took time to rest, setting the example for us, so are you given liberty to do the same.

What about you? Are you too hard on yourself? Can you begin today to give yourself permission to rest, play, sit, sleep, etc. without the guilt of a work alcoholic haze blinding you to the simple and joyful things of life? Think about it today and have a peaceful, relaxed, fun-filled day.

  • Battle Depression and Anxiety

    Battle Depression and Anxiety

    Proverbs 12:25

Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.

Have you ever been around a nail biter? They can make you nervous and anxious over their nail biting! Some people bite their nails so often and so hard that their fingers actually look sore and painful. The Passion Translation reads of Proverbs 12:25, “Anxious fear brings depression, but a life-giving word of encouragement can do wonders to restore joy to the heart.” This proverb can also be translated “Stop worrying! Think instead of what brings you gladness.” Why do we insist on focusing what we, in ourselves are powerfulness and cannot change? We know that we have everlasting joy in the Lord. He is our Peace, the awesome Prince of Peace. Sometimes we have to turn on the searchlight to our own hearts and look deep within ourselves to see and believe the life-giving word of encouragement that is hiding in the depths of our hearts. His Word lives within us and remembering this and searching for it within, can become perpetual encouragement. David, the great psalmist of the Old Testament talked to himself when he was writing the psalm where he says, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? I envision him taking himself by the nape of his shirt and saying, “Why?! Hope thou in God!”

Mental mapping is when we actually have thought, say negative thoughts, so long and so often, that when something happens or we get thinking about someone or something, we can immediately go into the pattern of a negative mantra that we have thought and driven mentally over countless times. This kind of thinking changes our metabolism, our heart rate, and our blood pressure, although it actually didn’t start in the physical but literally in our minds. Then to top it all off, we have developed a learned helplessness, meaning we truly and deeply believe there is nothing that can be done about it and there never will be anything anyone else can do about it. Forget, as a Christian, that we know there is nothing impossible with God! That concept left our psyche way before this battle began. How religious we can be, yet lacking in a deep faith in who the Lord wants to be for us. Then on top of it all, our verse says a good word makes it glad. I have been at the beginning gathering of a Bible study and have someone come in prepared to be negative before everyone. How sickening! Others will try to give a word of encouragement and the person has already pre-decided they were not going to receive any such encouragement today. They actually seemed to love being miserable. We must practice rolling our cares and concerns onto the Lord. Our emotions will try to rule the day and take over our thinking. Destroy the old mental map! Purposely think and speak what God says—nothing is impossible with Him! Remember that negativity arrives straight from the influence of hell itself. Have nothing to do with it. We may not know how God will answer our cry in prayer, but we know He is faithful, and He hears our cry and like a good, good Father He will answer us. Think new, speak encouragement and do it all on purpose. God will hear and honor your words today.

What about you? Do you need the Lord to do some remapping concerning your thought process? Ask the Lord for His help. I’m sure He will be glad you did. Have a blessed day in His Name.

  • God's Daily Faithfulness

    God’s Daily Faithfulness

    Psalm 37:3, 5

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. 5 Commit (roll off onto) your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.

Recognizing God’s daily faithfulness to us, I believe, is very often overlooked or not noticed at all. It’s a good thing that many of us stop before starting to eat our meal, bow our heads and hearts, and give thanks for the food we have been given. We are recognizing God’s daily faithfulness to us. But do we truly recognize how He guides and guards our lives, moment by moment, day by day, week by week, etc.? Do we daily “feed on His faithfulness?” Abba faithfully provides, guides, and will even carry our burdens and concerns if we will only commit (roll off onto) Him all that is in our hearts and minds. Proverbs 16:3 tells us to, “Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.” We are encouraged to roll our works into God’s care, knowing that He is ever for us, and knowing that we can feed on His faithfulness. When we were in Kenya, two of our daughters wanted to take a camel ride at one of the parks where rides were offered. What an adventure for them! It’s a great memory.  Here’s what I want us to get from the camel experience. The camel had two young ladies on its back. When it was time for the girls to get off his back, the camel knelt down, tilted his body far to one side and the girls pretty much were able to roll off. This is what our heavenly Father would have us do every day, roll every care and concern off of our minds and hearts, and feed on His powerful faithfulness to us. We can trust the Lord to heal, provide, protect and direct us, all in His daily faithfulness as we roll all our concerns onto Him. This takes surrendering and remembering, by faith, that as Proverbs 16:9 says, “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” This is what truly happens as we learn to surrender everything, every care and concern to Him, we can rest and relax that He will direct our steps each and every day. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s begin today to intentionally make time to slow down before the Lord and share our heart with Him. Don’t leave out anything, tell Him everything big and everything small. Give it all to Jesus. He will continue to be faithful to you and I pray that it will be in ways that you will not be able to miss that He is faithful, faithful, faithful God. Feed on His faithfulness for you today.

What about you? Do you recognize God’s faithfulness in your life? Are you rolling every care over onto Him, your great burden bearer? Are you trusting in Him and watching, waiting and expecting Him to bring what you’ve committed to the Lord to pass? Feed on His constant faithfulness to you. His love never runs out! He loves you so! Blessings on your day.

  • God's GPS

    God’s GPS

    Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

To be directionally challenged is an understatement for myself and my youngest daughter. We seem to be able to get lost in the simplest of settings. We got laughing together the other day as we were walking through the corridors of a huge business building, wondering together if we would be able to find our way out upon leaving. When GPS first became available, Stephen and I decided we wanted to visit an art gallery an hour or so from where we live. This was our first opportunity to use the new GPS in our travels. We were a bit amazed that this was even possible. I set our destination carefully and off we drove. Our journey was going to take us into Massachusetts, over windy, narrow roads through beautifully wooded villages and towns. The further into our trip, the roads, stops, and curvy turns began to all look alike, even though we were trying carefully to follow our new technology. The voice would tell us take the next right or left. Keep on this road until you come to a stop sign. Turn left. Yet there were times when the voice would say nothing, I mean absolute silence for miles. The hard concept to get was the silence in between the instructions. Even at one point, Stephen almost wanted to throw the cell phone out the window in his frustration. It took some intense reasoning to get him to calm down and trust the GPS directions. Finally we arrived at our art gallery and went on to enjoy our day. How like myself when I’ve brought a request to the Lord, asking Him for His plan and direction. As I wait on Him, He, many times, has begun to assure me I’m on the right path in my asking, waiting and hearing His voice. As I begin to follow what I hear Him speak to me through His Word, or a dream or even a strong sense of “This is the way, walk in it,” that peace that comes when you’re in His will brings comfort for the journey. But there are these times in receiving His direction that He goes silent. I wait to hear His voice, yet He stays silent. It’s like when the GPS doesn’t repeat the directions for a while because you have to get near to the next turn or stop in the road to be able to receive further instruction and specific direction. Here’s the challenge—it can be frustrating and an undoing of your peace in those times when God is silent. I love the clarity that the Lord has given so many times, and many times given with a strong word of confirmation to go along with His direction. Yes! I can follow this! Then as we step out in faith doing what we have heard and have peace concerning, He goes silent. What are we to do?! He is speaking nothing. Here’s the smartest and safest thing to do—just keep going straight.  Just keep moving forward until you hear Him speak again. He’s already spoken and confirmed His will to you. Trust His plan and way. He is well able to “reroute” you if you lose your way. The Lord is causing us to grow in our faith and knowing His voice. He can be trusted. He is the GPS system that never gets it wrong if only we will trust Him and follow His directions.

What about you? Do you have a strong spiritual GPS system? Can you hear His voice, wait and look for confirmation, and keep obeying Him when He is silent? Remember, He knows the way always. All we have to do is follow and trust His way and timing. Have a great day in Him.

  • God Has Rest for You

    God Has Rest for You

    Hebrews 4:8-11

8 Devote your whole heart to obeying God and His Word. Trust Him to do the things He says He will do. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. 11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest.

I don’t know about you, but there have been many times in my life that I have given something over to the Lord in prayer, and almost immediately after I have finished praying, I have picked that prayer request right back up again and have kept carrying and mulling it around in my mind to the point of distraction and worry. Verse 11 uses the word “diligent.” This word in the Greek means to “enter” that rest. Galatians 2:10 says, “They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.” “Eager” in this verse, means to exert oneself, make every effort, make haste, be jealous, strain every nerve. It combines thinking and acting, planning and producing. Hebrews 4:12 tells us that “God is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” The strong message in these verses is that there is a rest in the Lord when we come to Him and lay our concerns at His feet. It truly is a “laboring into the rest,” which in truth and reality is two opposite actions—laboring and resting. Yet our heavenly Father wants us to be “diligent to enter that rest.” Our Father wants to carry every burden and concern for us. He tells us, “The battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s” Easy to say, hard to completely relinquish. We say we trust Him, yet why do we constantly find ourselves carrying, and worrying and fretting over our concerns? I Thessalonians 1:3 talks about the patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Hope is the sense of confident expectation based on God’s promises. We must learn to practice keeping our minds upon God and His Word. He tells us His ways are perfect; His timing is perfect and He will make our way perfect. I have had instances in my life that if God had answered my prayer at the time I wanted it to, it would have hindered growth in the person I was praying for, or it would not have worked out for good if He had answered my prayer too early. Many things take time to process and develop at just the right pace. The Lord tells us that “His thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways are not our ways.” Like the old television show many years ago, even before my time entitled, “Father Knows Best.” How true this is—our heavenly Father knows best. We would be wise to take our concerns to Him and also confess our trust in His perfect timing and His perfect ways. Your faith is evident even as you come to Him in prayer, giving it over to Him. Enter into His rest, His timing and His way. Your answers to prayer are on the way. Stand in His liberty and peace today.

What about you? Are you wobbly in your faith that your answers to prayer are on the way? Labor back into His rest. He wants you to have His peace that passes all understanding. Your answers to prayer are on the way. Be blessed and at peace in Him today.

  • God Knows My Heart

    God Knows My Heart

    I Chronicles 29:17

I know also my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness.

There have been many times in my life that I was disappointed or angry or embarrassed about someone else’s behavior and began to develop a bad attitude, whether being critical or angry, whatever it may be about that individual. It could be someone I have been looking up to for years, who has had a failure, or someone who fell short of my expectations of their life. I am finding out that to keep my heart pure and letting go of these negative thoughts and emotions, that I am learning to begin to pray for them, and at times even fast for them. It’s so easy to cop an attitude about someone when we don’t have the full story, or maybe we are going on hearsay only with no solid concrete information. And honestly, how much do we really need to know about someone else’s struggles anyways? I want to have a loyal heart before the Lord, caring enough not to add insult to injury, but enter into prayer and calling out for that one, that restoration and healing can begin and progress in their lives. I must have a willing mind that defeats the tempting suggestive thoughts of the enemy of our souls to think the worst, and then speak it out to others. Retraining our minds to stop thinking the worst, and training our brains not to repeat, react and then develop a nasty attitude, defeats that religious, pharisaical, religious spirit that Jesus defined as “whited sepulchers full of dead men’s bones.” I don’t want to be that. I want to have great grace and prayer and encouragement spoken and prayed in truth before the throne of God. There is a saying, “But for the grace of God there go I.” This is a posture of humility and gratitude that acknowledges our own sinful nature and our great need for God’s grace in our lives. This is a wonderful antidote to judgmentalism. When we see someone who is down and out, someone who is suffering hardship, or is reaping some unpleasant things in their lives because of poor decisions, we can respond in two ways. Our first response can be, “They deserve it and they should have made better choices.” Or we can learn to say, “But for the grace of God there go I.”

What about you? Can you honestly evaluate your thoughts and responses before the Lord? Let’s agree to ask the Holy Spirit to search us and know us and help us to mature into someone that the Lord will be pleased with and pass our tests before Him. Jesus exampled this great grace and truth one while hanging on the Cross when He said, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” I want to be like Him, and I believe you do too. Have a blessed day.

  • God Knows Your Heart's Desire

    God Knows Your Heart’s Desire

    Psalm 21:2

You have given him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips.

Many times, we feel like those deep desires we may have, seem like they will never come to pass. Matthew 7:7, 8 tells us, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be open to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” This is insistent asking, without qualms, solidly presenting a requisition whose items God longs to distribute. He knows us so intimately, far more and far better than we could ever imagine. We had lost our first baby just two weeks before she was due to be born. That’s a story for another time. I desperately longed for another child. The doctors were not sure that I could conceive after what I had been through. I began to seek the Lord and ask Him that if I could get pregnant, could I become pregnant within that year of losing our first baby girl. I began to not feel so great after quite a few months of no sign of being pregnant again. Yet now I wasn’t feeling well. I went to see my doctor who tested to see if I could possibly be pregnant. Sure enough I was! What relief and great joy! And here’s the clincher—He said, “By the way, you got pregnant on February first,” exactly to the day of the accident that took our baby’s life. He gave us our heart’s desire! We were pregnant with our beautiful and longed for Andrea Lee! What a blessed joy upon hearing of our gift from the Lord Himself, and what a great day of rejoicing when she was born! Each one of our children, all five of them, have been celebrated deeply and wholeheartedly as our precious treasures and answers to the desires of our hearts. Dear one, God knows your heart’s desire as well. Be insistent in your asking, without qualms, solidly presenting your heart’s desires to Him. The word heart in Hebrew is “leb,’ meaning intellect, awareness, mind, inner person, inner feelings, deepest thoughts, inner self, a person’s inner yearnings. Psalm 37:5 says, “Commit (roll onto) your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” I love this next verse—Proverbs 16:3 “Commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts will be established.” “Commit” means to roll, roll down, roll away, remove. Roll your works, roll everything, every thought and desire into God’s care. Rest in the Lord. Wait patiently for Him. He has heard you. He’s heard every word, seen every tear, and heard every sigh and cry. Do not fret! Labor into His rest. He is a good, good Father and will hear and answer your heart’s cry. Lamentation 3:26 tells us, “It is good that one should hope.” Isaiah 7:4 says, “And wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Hope expectantly, dear one. He has heard your heart’s cry. His answer is on the way!

What about you? Are you telling the Lord fully what your heart’s desire is? Are you waiting and hoping expectantly or are you fretting and worrying about it? Keep your focus on the Lord. Don’t be fainthearted but full of praise and thanksgiving in expectancy of His answers to your heart’s cry. Our heavenly Father loves you so! Blessings on your day.

  • God Will Help You Understand

    God Will Help You Understand

    Daniel 8:16b

“Gabriel, make the man understand the vision.”

God is sending Gabriel in our verse to help him to grasp and understand what is going on in the Spirit realm. God truly wanted him to understand. In Luke 1:19 Gabriel was sent to Zacharias to bring him glad tidings that in his old age he was to have a son who was going to be the forerunner of Jesus, the Savior of the world. His name would be John the Baptist. Luke 1:26 it tells us that Gabriel goes to Nazareth to Mary to give this young girl understanding about the coming of the Christ Child. Our heavenly Father wants us to understand so many things that I think we either don’t slow down long enough for Him to help us to understand, or we keep going forward on our own “I thinks.” I remember when we were first out of college and asking the Lord to open His door of where we would begin our ministry as young pastors. One particular church was looking for candidates to come speak at their church. This particular church had a good reputation, and I personally was very excited that we were asked to come and speak. Yet, Stephen did not feel right about it when he prayed and talked to the Lord concerning this open door. I was young and inexperienced and at the time, I felt very disappointed he didn’t even want to check them out. A few years down the road, when we were pastoring another church, we received a call from another young pastor who had taken that particular church. He was having tremendous, strenuous problems with their congregation and was needing to talk and have others join him and his wife in prayer for answers for them personally and their troubled congregation. I remember the waves of relief, (although feeling badly for this other young pastor and his wife), that we had followed the leading of the Holy Spirit with what understanding He had given us not to take that particular position with them. I Samuel 3:8 says, “And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So, he arose and went to Eli, and said, ‘Here I am, for you did call me.’ Then Eli perceived that the Lord had called the boy, 9 Therefore Eli said to Samuel, ‘Go lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears.’” You may be feeling and hearing the voice of the Lord trying to get your attention. Tell the Lord you deeply desire to understand what is going on in your life and the direction He would have you go. Know this—God wants you to understand. Pay attention to what may seem to be “coincidences.” It very well could be the voice of the Holy Spirit drawing you, trying to get your full attention. The word “understand’ in Hebrew means to discern, perceive, grasp, consider, regard; be perceptive, have insight. We must learn to walk in the Spirit and to be led by the Spirit and not live on our own thinking. In all your ways acknowledge Him and HE will direct your paths. Slow down to understand today!

What about you? Are you running on your own steam? Are you being led by the Holy Spirit or your own thoughts? Ask for the Lord’s help today. He has so many good things in store for you! Blessings on your day.
