With endings come new beginnings. This is the last episode of this incarnation of this show. I wanted to send DeyOasis off with some love and gratitude, and make space for the next. "Today is the first day of the rest of your life!" I awoke to this daily growing up as my father would shout it from all corners of the house. I wanted to share this in the close out of 2024, as it's been quite a challenging year for me. But it's cleared out room for the new. I hope that this symbolic changing of the calendar gives you the inspiration you need to consciously choose and manifest all that you want your life to be. Thank you for joining me in this pre holiday discussion, as I talk about the frequency of gratitude. It can be difficult to be grateful if you are feeling like you are treading water, if you are overwhelmed at all the thoughts of responsibilities, obligations, and challenges that you may be facing. I am recording this just before Thanksgiving. The first one without my mom, and my fiancé, both of which I lost in the last three months. My life is different now. I don't have a big extended family, and that's okay. It's just me and my son, and I'm grateful for him. I'm grateful that we get to choose what we want to do together. I’m back after a 3 1/2 month pause. Since my last episode, my mother passed away and my relationship ended. So here I am, back to one. “Back to one” is a dance term, meaning go back to the beginning. Take all the things you learned up to that point, improve upon it, and when you’re ready, add on. Take out the things that don’t flow, and create new patterns and sequences that do. This is also a metaphor for life. We go through life with a variety of experiences, opportunities, and oppositions put in our path, and it’s up to us to discern what is authentic, what’s working and what is not. It’s ok to edit, reset, and go back to one, as many times as you need. Don’t be afraid to sit in your pain, feel it, process it, let it bleed before you cauterize the wound. And have the courage to burn the boats, and use the ash to build a foundation for your new life.
