Her ‘Naanu Ladies,’ touted as Kannada cinema's first lesbian love story, clinched the Best LGBTQI+ Film award at the prestigious Tasveer South Asian Film Festival in Seattle last October. But that was just one of many accolades that came her way, as she challenged conventional ideas taking the cinematic route.
