A student came to see Fayan and said, "Reverend, I am Huichao. What is Buddha?"
Fayan replied, "You are Huichao!"
Often we can be living our lives from the perspective of stories we generate about ourselves and the world. Those stories come out of a place that is fluid, dynamic and alive, boundless, always accessible, always here. It's a place where we and all things are continually abiding and continually emerging from, and to which we can continually return and once again emerge, refreshed and renewed.
