In episode 26, wedelve into Edward Theodore Gein, also known as the Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul, was an American murderer, suspected serial killer, and body snatcher. He exhumed corpses from local graveyards and made keepsakes from their bones and skin. Gein confessed to killing two women, Mary Hogan and Bernice Worden. Initially unfit for trial, he was eventually found competent and found guilty of Worden's murder. Gein died at Mendota Mental Health Institute in 1984 from lung cancer, and is buried in Plainfield Cemetery.
