January 18, 2020 Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 143: New Year, New Delays
Greetings listeners!
We're back with our first episode for the brand new year, we've taken the last few weeks to enjoy some time off and plug away at several games that may have slipped under the radar in 2019 in preparation for our Game of the Year episodes. Those are a couple of weeks off yet, so join us as we tackle a week of surprisingly interesting news.
Nintendo's theme park got a weird but fun music video, new downloadable content is coming to Pokemon Sword and Shield, several big games got delayed (including Cyberpunk after we finished recording), and Sony made the decision to officially skip E3 for a second year in a row. Kyran also tests Joel on the last decade of games by seeing if he can sort the 10 best scored Metacritic games from the 2010 - 2019 period. 2020 is already looking to be a crazy year for the video game industry with several heavy hitting titles due in the first few months and brand new consoles expected to arrive before the year is done. We're back with a new episode of the show, this week we tackle several events that took place during the week. Starting of course with Sony's State of Play, which officially revealed the remake of Resident Evil 3 Nemesis, then we've got a new Nintendo Indie World that was jam packed full of cool independent titles, and closing out the show with our thoughts on this years Game Awards and the various world premieres that it bought with it.

December 11, 2019 Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 141: The Jedi Life
Greetings listeners!
We're back with a new episode, this week featuring both Kyran and Brendan talk about taking up lightsabers in Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, don't worry about story spoilers because this is basically all gameplay talk. Alongside that Brendan has dipping his toes in both Frostpunk and Greedfall whilst Kyran managed to complete Death Stranding and Pokemon Sword.
Meanwhile on the news front we've got some sad but somewhat unsurprising news about both Battleborn and Elder Scrolls Legends winding down, Campo Santo's In the Valley of Gods being put on ice for the time being, a new BioShock officially being in development and discuss what we think might show up at the Game Awards this year. Brendan absolutely sold Kyran on the idea of Geralt in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and now any other character will personally be a disappointment to him.

Greetings listeners!
We're back after a week off where we ran our side gig as Kojima's delivery boys, we're not quite done on that front but we just couldn't resist getting an episode together for this week.
That's right, every one's favourite time of the year is coming! The nominees for the Game Awards 2019 were announced this past week so we sit down and go through each category and pick who we think will win. It proved as a good opportunity to really look back at 2019 and realise that maybe its being brushed off too lightly. We also announce our stakes, so whoever loses this one is in for a fun time.
We also do have some Pokemon impressions this week in our Quest Log as well, we're not done with Galar yet but we do have some feelings.

November 09, 2019 Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 139: The Life of the Party
Greetings listeners!
On the show this week we've got a whole bunch of video game impressions as both of our hosts have actually had sufficient time to check some stuff out. Joel brings us his final verdict on Control (which includes some spoilers, time codes below) and talks about his time with Ring Fit Adventure, meanwhile Kyran offers some early impressions on his time with Astral Chain and Smash Bros. Ultimate's newest character, Terry. The backhalf of the show is packed full of Obsidian's The Outer Worlds and Night School's Afterparty (spoiler time codes below), so there's something for everyone.
It was the eve of the release of Death Stranding, so we've been doing a lot of house keeping to make sure we are ready for our new job as a delivery boy for Hideo Kojima. October 25, 2019 Dialogue Options Podcast Episode 138: The Apple of Joel's Eye
Greetings listeners!
This week on the show Joel's been spending a lot of time checking out Apple's new subscription service, the Apple Arcade, and it turns out that he is a big fan! He's been playing three games in particular, Grind Stone, Bleak Sword, and What the Golf plus he also touches on where he stands with his playthrough of Astral Chain.
Meanwhile in Dope or Nope it has been a somewhat quiet couple of weeks so we focus on two main topics.Firstly, Bethesda announce a surprisingly pricey subscription for Fallout 76 called "Fallout 1st", it'll set you back about $20 a month and we just don't really understand who it is for. Secondly, Sony's approach to the PlayStation 5 also provides us some interesting discussion even though we are a couple of weeks late to tackle the latest news on that front.

Over the past weekend PAX Australia kicked off and showcased a lot of exciting upcoming games, heaps of incredible panels, a ludicrous amount of talented cosplayers, and more. Joel and Kyran were both there to experience it all and what follows is two hours of straight game impressions, with a guest appearance from Brendan to talk about one particular game. Greetings listeners!
This week Kyran is joined by his good friend Brendan to take a sizable bite out of Control as he finally gets to talk about the game without having to worry about spoiling Joel. The Control discussion starts at the 7 minute 45 second mark and run until about 53 minute 28 second mark, you've been warned! Beyond that we talk about Final Fantasy XII and get ourselves hyped up for PAX Australia.
Beyond the Quest Log we've got a weird Dope or Nope this week, updates on Troy Baker not reprising his role as Rhys in Borderlands 3, Shawn Layden has stepped down from his position at SIE with little to no explanation why, and very recently Blizzard has found themselves on hot water over a controversial decision to punish Hearthstone player, blitzchung, after his comments in a post-match interview, which also resulted in them deciding to terminate two seemingly innocent casters who were working the event.
The tweet that alerted us to it can be found here, it's worth looking into this situation as Blizzard continues to gather more negative attention from the global gaming community. Hopefully there's a positive update before next week's show, but right now it is hard not to be disappointed in the company for this decision.

We're back with a new episode of the podcast and not only are your hosts Kyran and Joel present and accounted for, they've also invited Brendan to join them for a jolly recording session.
This week's episode is packed with something for all, Brendan has been playing more World of Warcraft and the group contemplates the World of Warcraft: Classic scenario, Kyran restored himself to full health just in time to spend some time with Control, and Joel has been playing Dicey Dungeons and Slay the Spire.
