Welp you guys, Rae’s coverage of Diane Downs has turned into a 3 parter! For part 2, Rae is going to take us through the events of May 19th, 1983. On that day, Diane showed up to a hospital in Springfield, Oregon with her 3 young children. Cheryl, Danny, and Christie Downs were all in critical condition, suffering from horrific gunshot wounds. Cheryl Downs, who was only 7 years old, died as a result of her injuries. Her siblings were left barely clinging to life. Diane claimed that her and her children had been assaulted by a stranger on the side of the road. However, it didn’t take long before everyone started suspecting Diane of being the perpetrator.
