When one boy is constantly breaking your heart, and the other is a huge disappointment, what is there for a girl to do? Keep dealing with the both of them, hoping they can get their acts together, or drop them both.

When your side piece tells you a rumor about your boyfriend, are you going to believe it? It could be true, since your boyfriend has been acting real funny lately. Or it could be false cause your side piece wants to keep on side poking you.

Playing the waiting game. Waiting on visits. Waiting on response letters. Waiting on feelings to be returned. Waiting for that 90 day mark to hit. If being a teen in the 90's taught nothing else, it taught me patience .

The day I had been waiting on. The day he asked me to be his girl. Anticipation kept me chasing him. But I didn't spend the whole time thinking of him with another, annoying, old somebody still in the picture.

Is he a friend or a foe? Has he placed you in the friend zone, or in the love lane? Sometimes it's up to you how you're going to deal with that boy, as opposed to letting him make all the decisions in your budding or fading friendship/situationship/relationship whatever you're calling it this week.

I kept promising myself that if my friend started dating him, I would stop messing with him. But promises are made to be broken... right? It's hard to stop doing something that you've made a habit and when you think you're in love with that boy.

Causing on one boy. While continuing to crush another. What's a freshman girl, that just really wants a boyfriend, to do? Have to work harder on getting the head, heart and hormones aligned if that want is ever to come true.

So, how'd you spend the summer before going into 9th grade? I spent it having a friend, turn into more than a friend. My little secret, that carried over well into the start of the new school year.

As 8th grade draws to an end… lockers are getting cleaned out. There’s a graduation ceremony to attend. You’re saying farewell to middle school and good bye to all the faces you hope to see next year. And that boy only has about a week left to convince you to come back to his house before summer break begins. 

What were some of the things you did as a teen to get the attention of someone you had a crush on? Jokin' on them in the hallways between classes? Trying to be anywhere you knew they were going to be? Playful hits and smiles? If you were like me, it was all of the above.
