Content creation has gained the world's attention and it is growing rapidly. It has become a big industry, brought forth many talents, changed lives and is gradually revolutionising how we advertise and consume information. Content marketing is an essential part of every organisation's strategy today. It equals business growth. But in as much as it is the order of the day, it does not mean we should leave everything else to become content creators and influencers. It does not mean we should train the young generation and give them the narrative that content creation is the only way. That is deadly narrative that is spreading in Africa; which should not be the case.
The bigger picture we should show to young people in Africa is that the world keeps revolving and things won't stay like this forever. We can be content creators today and still go to school, acquire skills and most importantly prepare and position ourselves for any changes that will come in the near future.
Web 3.0 is on the horizon and will gradually become the new internet of things. As a blockchain technology pioneer and an early adopter of cryptocurrency , I think we should teach and draw the attention of everyone(including content creators and influencers) to take advantage this revolutionising technology so they can stand the chance of surviving and avoid becoming feudal and old-fashioned
