Well, you can change that today. Franklin Graham has organized a prayer march on Saturday, September 26, 2020, in Washington, D.C. The march will begin at the Lincoln Memorial with multiple stops along the way to our nation’s capital to pray for our nation and its leaders. It will begin at Noon and end at 2:00 PM.

I live in Western North Carolina, and it is a 7-hour drive to Washington, but when I heard about the prayer march, I knew I had to be there. Our country is at a cross-road. We all know that, and by the Holy Spirit, we feel that. When you look to God’s Word, the Bible, for answers, you will find multiple occasions that the Israelites in the Old Testament were in trouble and only by humbling themselves and praying to God and repenting (turn away from) of their sins, did God hear from Heaven and heal their land.

A court in Lahore, Pakistan (Sept. 8) sentenced a Christian to death over charges that he allegedly sent “blasphemous” text messages to a Muslim colleague seven years ago, his lawyer said.

Asif Pervaiz, a 37-year-old father of four, has been in jail for seven years since he was charged with blasphemy in October 2013 after his former supervisor at a garment factory, Saeed Ahmed Khokhar, accused him of sending sacrilegious text messages from his cell phone, attorney Saiful Malook said.

Messiah in the Gospel of John

The word Χριστός (Christos), translated as both Messiah and Christ, occurs 19 times in the Gospel of John. ^[1]^. The word is first used in the prologue (1:17). Messiah was an OT expectation held by most observant Jews, so there is particular significance that the first time that Jesus is called the Messiah is where John contrasts Jesus and the law of Moses.

This a clip note with a little information for you. The name "Jesus" in English has a complicated linguistic history that isn't apparent in modern Bibles. 

"Jesus" is an Anglicized form of the Greek name Iesous found in the New Testament. Iesous represents the Hebrew Bible name Yeshua, which occurs as "Jeshua" in English Bibles (Ezra 2:2; Neh 7:7). In Medieval English the "J" was pronounced as a "Y."

"Yehoshua"

Yeshua, in turn, is a shortened form of the name Yehoshua ("Joshua" in English Bibles).

Moses' right-hand man, Joshua, has three names in the Bible. Originally, it was Hoshea, but Moses changed it to Yehoshua (Num 13:16). During the Babylonian Exile, it was shorted to Yeshua (Neh 8:17).

More than 2,000 Christians gathered in the streets of Seattle in a “worship protest” Monday in defiance of public officials, who shuttered a local park to prevent them from participating in a prayer rally organized by missionary and political activist Sean Feucht.

The rally was supposed to take place in Gas Works Park by Seattle Parks and Recreation but officials abruptly announced the park would be closed all day Monday “due to anticipated crowding that could impact the public health of residents.”

According to the American Worldview Inventory 2020, 98 percent of American adults who choose socialism over capitalism as opposed to a biblical worldview.

Conversely, 83 percent of people who do hold to a biblical worldview prefer capitalism instead of socialism, while 78 percent are “consistently conservative.”

Additionally, 80 percent of people who uphold a biblical worldview are fiscally conservative and 91 percent support conservative social policies.

Furthermore, 89 percent oppose abortion based on “clear biblical teaching” and 83 percent endorse a “limited view of the size and scope of government.”
