Scoop City is back with more intel from around the NFL. The San Francisco 49ers made George Kittle the highest paid tight end by offering him a 4-year extension. Kittle resets the tight end market as a result. The Athletic's Senior NFL Insider, Dianna Russini, shares details on how the deal went down including the trade offers the 49ers received for Kittle. Ultimately, the 49ers declined any offers made for Kittle and elected to extend their franchise tight end. 

Elsewhere around the league, the Cincinnati Bengals and Trey Hendrickson remain engaged on a new contract. The Bengals are trying to find ways to shift money around in order to sign Hendrickson. Cincinnati remains interested in bringing back Hendrickson, which should please franchise QB Joe Burrow. The QB was adamant about resigning Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Trey Hendrickson.
