In dieser Episode sprechen wir über nachhaltige Entwicklung. Jedem ist das Wort Nachhaltigkeit mit Sicherheit schon begegnet, aber was gehört zur Entwicklung einer nachhaltigen Welt eigentlich alles dazu? Wo stehen wir zurzeit? Und was können jeder einzelne tun? Um diese Frage zu beantworten, lernen wir die Sustainable Development Goals der United Nations kennen, sprechen über deren aktuellen Status und schauen uns als Beispiel kurz den neuen Haushalt im Bezug auf die deutsche Klimapolitik an.
In dieser Episode tauchen wir wieder in die Theorie der Thermodynamik ein und sprechen über die Wertigkeit von Energie. Aber keine Sorge, auch wenn wir wieder mit Begriffen wie Entropie und reversiblen Prozessen um uns schmeißen, können wir relativ einfach das Prinzip der Exergie kennenlernen und anwenden. Und das lohnt sich, die Exergie zeigt uns nämlich, dass Statistiken mit thermischer und elektrische Energie Äpfel mit Birnen vergleichen. Und warum ist das so? Am Ende fließt Wärme immernoch von Warm nach Kalt...
In dieser Episode betrachten wir nochmals das Bewusstsein. Diesmal allerdings mithilfe eines mathematischen Modells. Die integrierte Informationstheorie hat das Ziel das subjektive Erleben von beliebigen physikalischen Systemen mathematisch zu vermessen. Wir besprechen die Grundbausteine dieser Theorie und versuchen anhand von einfachen Beispielen zu verstehen, wie Mathematik beim Erkunden des Bewusstseins helfen kann.
In dieser Episode werfen wir einen Blick auf elektrische und thermische Energiespeicher, die wir in jedem Fall benötigen werden, um die Klimaneutralität in der Energieversorgung bis 2050 zu erreichen. Aber welche Speichermöglichkeiten gibt es eigentlich? Wie unterscheiden sich die unterschiedlichen Technologien? Was sind die Vor- und Nachteile? Und worauf müssen wir eigentlich achten, wenn wir thermische Energie, also Wärme, speichern wollen?
In dieser Episode sprechen wir über Emissionen und notwendige Schlüsseltechnologien, die der deutschen Industrie dabei helfen sollen auf klimaneutrale Produtktion umzustellen. Wir diskutieren Herausforderungen und Möglichkeiten und ordnen die aktuelle Situation der deutschen Industrie einmal ein.
Ich packe meinen Koffer und ich nehme mit... ja was eigentlich? Genau das habe ich mich diese Woche vor dem Urlaub auch gefragt, und als richtiger Nerd gibt es doch nichts schöneres, als ein solches Problem mithilfe eines cleveren Algorithmus zu lösen. Und genau darüber quatschen wir in dieser Episode. Wenn ihr wissen wollt, wie ich meinen Koffer mithilfe des genetischen Algorithmus gepackt habe, wie der Algorithmus sich das Prinzip der Evolution zu Nutze macht und wo man ihn noch einsetzen kann, ist jetzt genau der richtige Zeitpunkt den Play-Button zu drücken und Einzuschalten!
In dieser Episode sprechen wir darüber, wie das Gehirn die Welt konstuiert. Wie hängen eigentlich Wahrnehmung und Handlung zusammen? Wie funktioniert Wahrnehmung und wie lernt unser Gehirn? Um diese Fragen zu beantworten gibt es zwei gegensätzliche Theorien: den Outside-In und den Insight-Out Ansatz. Wir diskutieren beide Theorien und begeben uns auf eine spannende Reise in unser eigenes Gehirn.
Erdgas galt lange als Brückentechnologie für die Energiewende hin zu einer klimaneutralen Energiewirtschaft, insbesondere wenn es um die Wärmeversorgung geht. Aber auch Erdgas zählt zu den fossilen Energiequellen und trägt damit zur Erderwärmung bei. Wir schauen uns in dieser Epsiode deshalb das energetische Potential der Biomasse am Beispiel Holz an, denn warum Erdgas einsetzen wenn man einen CO2 neutralen Brennstoff wie Holz einsetzen kann? Aber warum ist Holz eigentlich CO2 neutral? Wie effizient ist Holz als Brennstoff tatsächlich? Und kann das Pflanzen neuer Wälder die Erderwärmung wirklich stoppen?

In dieser Episode berichtet Hannes von seinem gemeinsamen Urlaub mit Franzi und Henriette durch die Nationalparks des Südwestens der USA. Henriette ist ein MAN TGM 13.280 4x4 Motorhome, dass sich zurzeit mit Hans-Peter, Susanne Leva, Frodo und Quappo auf Weltreise befindet. Henriette ist für autonomes Reisen in kalten, heißen und auch tropischen Klimazonen mit schlechter oder nicht vorhandener Infrastruktur konzipiert.
