I'm stoked about today's episode because we're going to talk about the transection of two big storytelling mediums in my life, comics and wrestling. In what seems like a former life, I was a production assistant for WCW and nobody was more colorful and with so much mythology surrounding them as the luchadores. So, it is with great pleasure that I welcome Diego Valenzuela on with me. Diego is the Head of Storyworlds for Masked Republic Comics who has an amazing new project dropping soon called Luchaverse: Catalyst that is being released in partnership with relative newcomer on the block Massive Publishing. This unique project incorporates some of the biggest named luchadores into the fabric of the comic, weaving their legend into something entirely new. Each event issue will be a double oversized 48-page feature with the first issue dropping mid-July and features stories with Rey Mysterio and Tinieblas Jr. I'm really looking forward to where this universe develops and it's a treat to get to hear more about Masked Republic and what they are doing with Luchadores representation and where their comics arm is headed.
