In Genesis 9, Noah and his family have come out of the ark into a brand new world. Noah makes a sacrifice, and God responds with a promise. But, have you ever wondered why this story sounds weirdly similar to the Garden of Eden story? Here’s one example: there’s another forbidden tree in this story just like there was in the Garden of Eden. And, many people completely miss it. But, to see the deeper truth here, we need to make 6 key observations along the way. That’s why in this video, we’re going to explore Genesis 9 and highlight these 6 core ideas that will help you see this story with a fresh set of eyes.
In Genesis 8, Noah and his family finally come out of the ark after more than a year. And, Noah’s first recorded action is to build an altar. Naturally, there are some questions we should be asking about this story. Why does Noah do this? How come God responds with a promise? Why does God mention that the seasons of the earth will never cease? These might sound like useless questions, until you realize the incredible revelation hidden underneath these ideas. But, we need to make 11 key observations to really dig up the gold here. That’s why in this video, we’re going to explore Genesis 8 and highlight 11 core ideas that will really make this story come alive.
In Genesis 8, the floodwaters begin to recede — but not the way you might expect. God send saw wind instead of simply commanding the waters. The ark rests on a mountain before the waters are gone. Then, Noah sends out two different birds: a raven and then a dove. And, we should be asking why? These aren’t random details. There’s something deeper happening beneath the surface of this story. The language of wind, rest, mountains, sevens, olive leaves, and waiting isn’t accidental — it’s pointing us somewhere. In this video, we’re going to walk slowly through Genesis 8:1–12 and uncover the patterns and symbols you might have missed.
In Genesis 7, God unleashes the floodwaters on the earth. And, there are some amazing details that frame this story a bit differently than most of us were taught. For example, God opens windows, shuts Noah in, lifts the ark above the earth and conquers human rebels on the earth. These are not random details. There is a much deeper message underneath this, and it is connected to the conversation about the rapture. You’ll see what I mean.
Today we're reading the Noah story in Genesis 7:1-10. If you’ve read the story of Noah and the ark, you probably know that Noah went into the ark 7 days before the flood came. But, have you ever asked why? This might seem like minor detail, but when we look at everything else in this story, it will show you that this detail is anything but insignificant. I’ve heard all kinds of theories about this 7-day waiting period, but I’d like to share a view that isn’t very well known.
Many of us are overly-familiar with the story of Noah and the ark, which causes us to miss the gold here. You’re about to see the hidden truth about Noah’s ark that people rarely talk about. There’s a reason God gives him a blueprint to follow. The roof, the rooms, the pitch, its all symbolic of a deeper spiritual reality. This is more than just a boat that saves lives, and, its hidden in plain sight. In this video, we’re going to walk through 14 key insights in Genesis 6, that often get overlooked. I know its double what I normally do but you’ll see why. Then, we’ll finish by connecting all of this to Jesus.
You’ve probably heard the Noah story a million times, but let’s focus just on the beginning for a second. Because there are certain things I never caught until just recently, even after hearing this story for most of my life. For example, who are the sons of God? What is the deal with God’s 120 year limit? Who are the Nephilim and where did they come from? So, the real question is: why is God’s solution to human evil to bring a flood upon the earth?
