Walter and myself discuss various news stories in attempt to cover all 4 quadrants of our Podcast's mission (Politics, News, Current Events, and Pop Culture). If you have any stories you've seen that we don't cover, let us know at '[email protected]'
Ralphy, Walter, and myself talk about a few of the recent Executive Orders passed by Biden. We also go through our top 10 bands/artists that we enjoy listening too. Not much else to say about this one, but an overall delightful chat.
We discuss Inauguration Day briefly before venturing into our first music themed episode. I asked the hosts to create a fantasy band and they did not disappoint. Hear as we draft our bands, fantasy football style, as well as what our hit songs will be, tour name, and more! Music section starts around the 22 minute mark.
Let us know what YOU think of these bands. Who would you be most excited to see? What would your band lineup look like? Let us know at '[email protected].'
Ralphy Nades and myself chat about the 2nd impeachment of Donald Trump during his final days in the White House. Is it the right move? What are our thoughts on this. Should Democrats even. bother with so many other issues plaguing our country? Find out what we think, as well as a special call in from Walter and a middle aged Italian Woman?
We discuss events of the white supremacist riot, domestic terror, presidential coup in the Capitol Building - literally whatever you want to call it works. We recorded this the day of so emotions and reactions are fresh. While it was a sad day for our country, it also overlooked major Senate balance of power news that took place as well. Democrats now control majority in the Senate, adding to their House Control and Presidential Flip.
We also discuss if Star Wars is actually good, or just OK.
Two vaccines for the pandemic have been approved and are already being adminsterd to healthcare workers across the country (and world). I'll break down a few of the differences between the two types. Overall though, very good news for the world.
I also talk about the original stimulus bill that was approved by congress, which as of last night (Dec. 22) is dead on arrival on Trump's door. Trump, taking the surprising progressive path, is pushing for more relief funding for the people, and he states he won't sign a bill unless it's giving $2000.
On this episode, the hosts finally discuss healthcare in the US, and what we feel would be the best type of system for healthcare. We talk about some of the pros and cons of universal healthcare vs. the current system, setbacks to changing our system, and other healthcare measure that can be taken to ease the burden of healthcare costs.
Also, the House of Representatives passed a bill seeing to decriminalize marijuana, which anyone who's listened to us know it's an important topic. Will it pass the senate? Probably not, but we still talk about it.
I'm back with a quick update on where we've been, current pandemic numbers, and a potential second stimulus bill may be in the works (finally).
We'll be back next week with a full episode on our views on Healthcare Systems in our country and what we think is best. Also, too early to celebrate the decriminalization of marijuana bill that passed the house? We'll see next week what everyone thinks of that as well.
Walter and I chat about the current pandemic spike, general election chatter, and some thoughts on Thanksgiving. With so much to be thankful for this year, it is hard to choose one thing. Let us know what you are thankful for by emailing us at '[email protected].'
We come up for a breath of fresh air this week as we take a break from politics and talk about a variety of random topics like: weird traits of our fathers, can a farmer with a bolt action rifle survive a 100 fox army, and what is the better soda choice!
