Bob Bixby is executive director of the Concord Coalition. Founded in 1992, it is a non-partisan organization that advocates putting the national debt on a sustainable course and protecting future generations. Bixby joined Concord in 1992 and served in several positions, including policy director and national field director, before being named executive director in 1999. He has served as a member of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Debt Reduction Task Force (the Domenici-Rivlin commission), which produced a model plan for comprehensive fiscal reform.

He frequently speaks around the country on the nation’s fiscal challenges and possible bipartisan solutions, including greater government efficiency, tax reform and improvements in the entitlement program. He has testified at congressional hearings and been interviewed by news organizations around the country. Bixby has appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, CNN and Fox News.

Concord’s founders believed, like the Minutemen at Concord, that America has a moral obligation to leave the country better off for our children and grandchildren. Founding co-chairs were former U.S. senators Paul E. Tsongas (D-Mass.) and Warren B. Rudman (R-N.H.). Former U.S. commerce secretary Peter G. Peterson was the founding president.

Dick Bove, bank analyst at Odeon Capital Group has issued a stark warning. "By 2022, the United States will be back to a 1970s environment," he says. "In other words, inflation will be out of control and the Fed will have no way to stop it." In a report, Odeon says that the  Federal Reserve’s monetary policy is not directed toward trying to grow the economy. It is solely oriented toward paying the Federal debt, and this policy is "highly inflationary."

The report notes that, in 2020, the Fed purchased $2.36 trillion in  Treasuries and $0.62 trillion in mortgage-backed securities (MBS). The bulk   of the MBS were government guaranteed. By this measure, the Treasury purchases made the Federal Reserve the largest single buyer of United States Federal debt in the world. The purchases of the MBS notably allowed the US government to avoid placing some Ginnie Mae debt on its balance sheet.

Bove, a veteran industry analyst and media pundit, is widely followed on Wall Street. Therefore, his  prognosis of current inflation trends are unsettling. This time around, the surging US inflation rate he predicts—while transparent to consumers in the overall prices for a basket of good and services—will be concealed in the official government figures, Bove says. The official inflation numbers won't be REAL.  "They have to disguise it," he explains in this interview. 

Bove has a long and informed view of financial and economic history. His latest research on the return of gut-wrenching 1970s inflation is instructive. Back in the 1970s, America witnessed some of the highest rates of inflation in its modern history with interest rates soaring to 20 percent, that because of the Fed campaign to quell the price surges. Financial historians say central bank policy in America, the break from the gold window, Keynesian economic policy—as well as market and consumer fears -- all contributed to a wicked decade of high inflation.

In this episode, Bove explains why Uncle Sam will do everything possible today to cover up and hide the real rate of inflation ahead. Prices in the US, he says, are already showing significant gains as the US money supply grows 10 times faster than the economy.

Kimberly Hermann pulls no punches no matter what. The pro-liberty advocate is general counsel, Southeastern Legal Foundation, a non-profit public interest constitutional law firm that advocates for individual liberty, free speech, economic freedom and the rule of law. In a penetrating opinion piece recently on five 'ways' Americans could see their First Amendment rights radically challenged during the Biden Administration, she wrote: "One word, five letters: 'unity.' It is the left's new mantra. How do we know? Because the mainstream media can't stop praising and echoing President Joe Biden's inaugural calls for unity. But a word is simply a word."

"The actions of the left over the years have told a different story, a sneaky one," added Hermann. "One in which they use unity to create a divide. We are 50 states united as one nation under God. In that sense, we can all agree that unity is no doubt a civic virtue we should strive for. But today's use of the word "unity" is simply a wolf in sheep's clothing, and it comes at a cost to conservatives. That cost is your voice, your speech, your constitutional right."

The Southeastern Legal Foundation is paying close attention to disturbing trends for conservative-minded students on college campuses in America. It's a trend, however, that cuts a wide swathe across the American population. "If you are a college student, or anyone else for that matter, and you disagree with any policy coming out of the left – for example, on climate change -- then you are personally responsible for dividing our country.," said Hermann. "if you agree [with the left], then  you are very uniting our country." Added Hermann: "That is not what our country is founded upon." 

In our wide-ranging interview, Hermann spells out how students on college campus, and the American public generally, may find themselves "cancelled" unless they tow the new woke line of thinking. "We've had multiple calls from students we've worked with, who've been physically assaulted, simply because they are standing up for the constitution," said Hermann.
