This CafeCast is of amateur radio satellite AO-92 that was recorded on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 using my Baofeng UV-82 and a whip antenna. This was my last attempt with my old call sign, KD5DLJ. Now that I am an extra I requested a new vanity call that fits perfectly with my attempts to build interest in the amateur radio hobby. The new call is K5DCC. The DCC stands for DigiCommCafe which is the hub of all my ham radio activites.

Again, as usual, leave me a voice message and let me know if you heard yourself. Tell us what you are using for satellite work or ask a question that we can deal with in a future episode. Make sure you tell us you name, location and call sign. It just may appear in this or a future podcast.

This is a recording of satellite AO-92 that occurred around noon from grid square EN33 out the corn country of northeast Iowa. I was using a Baofeng with a whip antenna. No contacts today but I did hear my good friend James, WX5T back home in northwest Arkansas. Lots of activity today. If you heard yourself in this recording, leave a voice message and introduce yourself with additional comments about your satellite hear and techniques.

Success! Today I was able to work a couple of guys with my Baofeng UV-82 and whip antenna from Grid Square EN33 on AO-92 which had a high elevation pass of 85 degrees. We also had a bit of drama that is discouraging but sometimes understandable. Leave you voice comments by clicking on the voice message button on my main Anchor.FM homepage. Thanks for the contacts Wade, N0TEL and Wayne, NM3B. This podcast confirms my contact with yoi both.
