One of the most common misconceptions about cyber security is that it’s a large business problem. WRONG! Over 40% of small businesses reported hacks in 2021. The truth is, small businesses are extremely vulnerable to cyber-attacks simply because they don’t think they are, or they think they can’t afford proactive cyber security.
In this episode, Ben and I talk about cyber insurance in particular which is a topic many business owners, execs, and boards are navigating. Ben explains what cyber insurance is, and why it's not a solution until itself, we go into what people need to know when they are thinking about cyber insurance and how to make it more likely for cyber insurers to pay out if the worst happens.
Ben’s advice is practical and bite-sized and he’s a really lovely human, which I think helps when you’re a business owner trying to understand and manage cyber risk.
