Did the primary buffer panel just fall off my gorram ship for no reason?
Firefly week reaches its conclusion as we break down the 2005 Film Serenity, based on the cult TV series Firefly. Joe and Mark are joined by special guest Shawn Allred of CheapSeatReviews.
Serenity rose from the ashes of what many assumed was a very unfortunate death at the hands of Fox. Luckily for fans, Joss Whedon (before becoming the Justice League monster we know today) would go to Universal to make a pitch for why the story should continue.
Join Joe, Mark, and Shawn as they break down the movie's themes, how it brilliantly incorporates threads from the TV series, and some of their own personal theories on the plotholes that fans often ask themselves.

The verse of Firefly was notable for many things -- chief among them a unique musical score that controls the feel of the show.
The TV series (2002) and Serenity (2005) film however would differ heavily in their composition. Joe and Mark join forces with Chris and Leslie Lott of Measuring the Score to break down the musical compositions of both properties.
We learn a lot along the way and can't thank our friends enough for helping us.

The year is 2002 -- Fox would have one of the most endearing Sci-Fi TV series land on its doorstep. What happened next was typical of Fox... but what occurred on the TV series Firefly is the stuff of legend. A humble show that perfected the Space-Western would be born.
Join us as we sit down with The Sudden but Inevitable Rewatch crew - Jesse and RickyD (also of the TwistMyArm podcast) to break down the cult property and its impact on breaking genres and TV history.

Ah the video game movie... we've seen many favorite properties get a big screen adaptation. Unfortunately it's a sea of mediocrity with a few bright spots lightly peppered throughout.
Joe and Mark dig into some video game movie history before analyzing what we know about the Borderlands movie. Optimism? Worry? What do you think based on what we know?

17 years after Sylvester Stallone's Judge Dredd the character would be back to cinemas to patrol.
Joe and Mark are big fans of the rebooted film and the story they decided to tell.
The only shortfall of Dredd (2012) is the fact that we didn't get a sequel -- as the attempt at a new continuation kept a simple story.
Perhaps too simple?

Joe and Mark head back to mega city 1 for a chance to see just how well they remember the Sylvester Stallone film.
What has largely been lumped into forgotten action movie history is a film that has some surprisingly well fleshed out aspects of the 2000 AD universe.
Does it all work?
That is for you to decide -- you be the JUDGE.

Joe and Mark have been big fans of Supernatural -- like many, being pulled into the series first 5 season epic. The show's history would feature many creative decisions along the way over its total 15 season run.
While not every decision in the history of Supernatural would land, the show would remain fun and true to itself from start to finish.
Join Joe and Mark for one last-ish ride in the Impala for a deep dive analyzing the CW's longest running series.
