I have a real weakness for the wobbling, warping, rolling basslines popular in the late 90s. This mix is a homage to that sound. Turn it up loud and bounce around!

Last week, I took a bit of a detour into the depths of my music collection so this week I've brought it back bang up to date with some of my favourite tracks around at the moment and yes, there is some piano, it's all good!

I wanted to take a different tone this week and play something different to my usual mix of House and Tech House so I dived deeper into my Rekordbox and dug out some of the tunes that made me want to start to learn to mix in the first place. This is a tougher, more 'gangsta' sound than you are used to from me but I thought it might make a nice change, especially as the bass is top-drawer throughout. If you're not familiar with the sub-genre (as it kinda died a death a few years ago), give this a whirl and check it out!

It's been a busy couple of weeks and I've found it difficult to carve out time to hunt for tracks and record a mix so I decided 'fuck it' and booked a day off work to do just that. This is the result, an hour of current Tech House bangers with an uplifting/vocal twist. Just my bag! Hope you like it!

The week, I've gone back to my roots, gone back to the 90s when House was everywhere; this is inspired by those 90s albums by Fantasia and Ministry's 'Annual' series but done with a modern twist. If you were a clubber back in the day (or even just danced round your bedroom), you'll recognise more than a few tracks here.

This is the mix that wasn't meant to be, it was just a week-night practise session with some new tracks I'd downloaded but the outcome was so good I just wanted to release it anyway! This is Tech House all the way and I'm really pleased with how I've managed the energy on this one, it starts measured and deliberate and builds for about 45 minutes until it's proper banging! Do yourself a treat and turn it up loud!

30 minutes of Tech House that I pulled together as a competition entry so these are current tracks with one forgotten gem tucked in there and the transitions and set are tight because anyone can mix intro to outro, right? Anyway, hope you enjoy!

This week I tried to take it down a gear and make a more laid-back mix, something that was more early evening warm-up than peak-time bangers. Whether or not I succeeded in this is up to you I guess, it's a bit subdued than my normal offerings so if you sometimes find them a bit full-on, this might be the mix for you but I suspect it's definitely still more nightclub than yoga retreat!
