This week on Digital Mentorship, my guest is Weston Lackey. Weston hails from the state of Michigan and found himself studying finance in the Rocky Mountains at Westminster College. Weston shares his experience getting kidnapped in Vietnam and how he chose to study finance over psychology. We learn about the University Valuation Group, the benefits of small class sizes, and building relationships with professors.

Weston is a financial analyst for Daybreak Communities. He was able to leverage an internship with Alliance Residential Company and his passion for finance into a career. An interesting point about his journey is how he started working at Daybreak Communities while still in school. Weston also got a six-month head start working remotely when he wanted to move home to Michigan.

We play a game called overrated and underrated and we learn about Weston's favorite kind of pizza.

Weston's advice for his former self revolves around continuing to do the right thing, build momentum and focus on creating meaningful relationships with your peers.

In this episode of Digital Mentorship, my guest is Jaxson Perry. Jaxson is a customer success manager at Dental Intelligence Inc. and is one of the most passionate people I know. This is one of my longest episodes and for a good reason! Jaxson started his career at Brody Chemical as an account manager, where he developed a passion for the customer experience and the process behind it. In his time as an account representative at Pharma Logistics, he continued focusing on process improvement in a heavily regulated and complicated industry. Now, as an Enterprise CSM, Jaxson has doubled down on his passion for customer experience while developing processes to sustain further growth. Both of us study and practice mindfulness, and we talk about Jaxsons two favorite books, "Tao Te Ching" and "The Power of Now." Both books have made impacts in his life and have helped Jaxson form a potent identity. We discuss resume tips and tricks and how you can improve your resume. Finally, Jaxsons tips for young adults or working professionals, focus on your "why" in his darkest times; it was his guiding light.

This week on Digital Mentorship, my guest is Curtis Roberts! Curtis and I met at Westminster College playing lacrosse, and he's gone on to have an exciting career at his own law firm, The Founders Attorney! Our discussion ranges from deciding on a major to the importance of taking a step back and thinking strategically about one's life and career. Curtis is passionate about traveling, and his travels helped lead him to the idea for The Founders Attorney. His tip for young professionals is, don't lose sight of the forest through the trees and take some time to really know yourself.
