NATURAL DISASTER

God certainly is not happy with humans. For the past two years since COVID_19 world is changing in more than usual pace.

Now a natural disaster hits a small hill station Murree Pakistan.

Climate change is showing its fury in fast speed since 2019, even though world has gone through many natural disasters before but so far we are only looking at what's just happened and how things gone wrong for one reason or another.

MOHTERMA by Abdul-Rehman Mian

I had the pleasure of meeting Bushra Rehman in Lahore at her home which has been so memorable for me.

I didn't meet Mr Rehman but never knew that, he is a writer as well.

If it was not for podcast, I may not have paid attention to this story, "Mohterma"

I would like to share "The Story," when and how they met written by Abdul-Rehman Mian.

I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did. Hopefully I will get to talk to them soon or visit, if travel restrictions ever ease.

Khalid Hanif's book of quotes was also a treasure found upstairs in my late brother's Dildar Pervaiz Bhatti's home in Wahdat Colony.

After hearing his news in October 1994, I went to Lahore. It was a strange time for me, going to his him and stying there without him after Chaliswan.

I saw books stacked in his bedroom and some upstairs, checked out few books. I couldn't bring all of them with me so had to choose on few.

Its just a small paperback A5 size consisting of 93 pages.

As an intro, few quotes are included but the rest will be included in future podcasts as usual, "thought of the day"

Anjam Yusfi's book, Hasil-e-Janoon is one of the books that I found in my elder brother Dildar Pervaiz Bhatti's collection, after his death. I never got to discuss contents of all these books with my brother. I will be sharing some poetry and excerpts from both of our collections in future podcasts.

Opposition keeps media busy to stay relevant. These headlines are also interesting because they have flavour of every day local language expressions.
