The t-Radio team had recently met with Aldert van Zyl, who is originally from South Africa, but is currently the Director of the Food and Beverage department at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Aldert has a wealth of experience in the Food and Beverage industry having worked at restaurants in London and then managing various restaurants and bars in international hotel groups throughout his native South Africa.

The t-Radio was able to have a brief chat with Hakan Kjellstrom founder of the Dilmah tea distributor in Sweden, Tekompaniet. Hakan was part of the at the Dilmah School of Tea in May, 2016.

The t-Radio team had the opportunity to meet up with Ahmed Akawi of Spectrum Holdings, a major partner of Dilmah Tea in the Middleeast.

t-Radio had to opportunity to meet Edwin Soon, a recognized and qualified oenologist contributing wine editor to various magazines such as Wine and Dine, Harper’s Bazaar and the Malaysian ‘Star’.

Edwin was one of the speakers featured at the Dilmah School of Tea, 2016, where he went into depth on the subject of tea pairing.

t-Radio had the opportunity of speaking with the Education Director of the World Association of Chef’s Societies, John Clancy. John has over 30 years of culinary experience, having served as Lecturer in Culinary Arts and Food Technology at the Dublin Institute of Technology since 1990.

t-Radio recently met and spoke with the Ragnar Fridriksson, Managing Director of the World Association of Chef Societies, or World Chefs. Chef Fridriksson has had over 23 years of experience in the food and beverage industry as a Chef, published author of food and wine literature and is an established food photographer.

In addition to this, he has been the member of multiple tasting panels in renowned gastronomy competitions, the world over. He is also the Founding Managing Director of Passionfood, a monthly publication that covers the subject of Gourmet dining.
