We'd lived through the prequels, old hope had died, but Disney had bought Lucasfilm and that meant a new trilogy of sequels, starting with JJ Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it had Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca and Luke Skywalker back. Could it live up to expectations? Was this just an exercise in fan service? And why does Harrison Ford look so engaged in this film?
