Dinosaur Man

With the upcoming release of F9, the latest installment in the now 20 year old The Fast and The Furious series, Andy has put together a handy revision guide for anyone planning to make this their first foray into the world of car heists.

He details the often confusing world of various street racers, hackers, villainous Brits and lawmen without backbones from 2001 to the present day. See this as your ultimate guide to one of the most astonishingly nonsensical franchises in cinema history.

It's an odd episode this week in that Andy is absent and due to some technical issues our prerecord didn't happen. Anyhow, Alex is here to keep up the regular timetable and has reviews of two films.

'Raya and the Last Dragon' is the latest Disney animation which has just been placed onto Disney+ regular roster after some months on premium rental.

'The Banishing' is a Shudder exclusive and the latest film by Christopher Smith who has made some interesting work previously but does this come close to his best?

With the recent rollout of 'The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It' we thought we'd present an educational tool for your use if you've not been keeping up to date with the goings on in the Conjurverse. With 8 films and more on the way it's already pretty packed with interconnected stories and various demons up to no good.

Alex puts forth the complete timeline stretching all the way back to the dark ages (yes really), expect plenty of exorcisms, possessed dolls and families in peril.

In a week that saw a slew of new trailers isn't it handy that we were due to release another exciting episode of News & Reviews? We discuss the whole batch from lycanthropic videogame adaptations to cosmic powers in the MCU.

In addition to this we have reviews of a bunch of movies and TV shows, Andy has watched the second series of 'Love, Death + Robots' on Netflix as well as the first couple of episodes of 'Marvel's M.O.D.O.K.' .

On the movie front we discuss hotly anticipated sci fi sequel 'A Quiet Place Part II', Zack Snyder's 'Army of the Dead', Shudder witch hunt horror 'The Reckoning', 'The Human Factor' a documentary focussed on the attempts to strike a Middle East peace deal during the Clinton administration.

With the recent Netflix release of Zack Snyder's 'Army of the Dead' we decided to put together our own ragtag group of zombie killing heroes, with a catch.

We choose one character from each of Zack Snyder's previous non zombie killing directorial efforts in an attempt to create a sort of fantasy draft for a recast version of the film. Which Owl of Ga'Hoole do we choose? Does Jared Leto's Joker make in into another off brand suicide squad?

Listen in to find out!

After last week's brief sojourn into the world of video games we're back talking movie news and reviews.

On the news front there's trailer talk on 'The Forever Purge', 'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' and 'The Green Knight' in addition to casting news regarding 'Knives Out 2'

Bleep Bloop Bleep! That's video game for hello and welcome back to the latest episode in a burgeoning side series of special episodes all about video games.

This time out Andy and Alex are joined by special guest and actual game fan/player Matt McGowan! They discuss Fortnite, Gas Station Simulator, New Pokemon Snap and much more.

Andy also sets Alex his latest homework game to play after he completed Hitman during the interval between these episodes.

After last weeks marathon Oscars episode normal service is resumed with news & reviews.

We talk about best picture winner 'Nomadland' which is available on Disney+ in the UK now, Andy reviews 'The Mitchells vs the Machines' the new animation from Sony which is showing on Netflix.

In addition to this Andy recaps both 'Invincible' and Marvel's 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' whch have wrapped up recently.

It's that time of year again where awards season comes to a head and we celebrate by staying up too late and watching the Oscars live and report back to you once you've already found out the results. It's one of the many helpful services we offer as part of this podcast. So sit back, relax and enjoy the torture.

This episode of News & Reviews is packed to the gills with brand spanking new films, including a few Oscar contenders.

Drama 'Sound of Metal' is on Amazon Prime and stars Riz Ahmed as a drummer who loses his hearing, 'Promising Young Woman' is the comedy thriller directed and written by Emerald Fennell which features a dynamic performance from Carey Mulligan. In addition to these heavy hitters we have reviews of Netflix's monster adventure 'Love and Monsters', timeloop comedy 'Palm Springs', road trip prank movie 'Bad Trip' and British horror 'The Power'.
