Oh my goodness, would you believe it? That's right, after no big spoiler specials for a whole year the boys are bringing you our thoughts on Warner Brothers hotly discussed 'Wonder Woman 1984'.
We discuss the practicalities of wishing stone rules, invisible jets and the questionable attitude of Diana Prince towards pretty much every member of the human race. Andy does himself proud by making Alex cry with laughter so it's an all time classic ep. Warning! Here be spoilers!
With another week we bring you another bunch of streamer reviews. Variety is the order of the day here, with Netflix awards hopeful drama 'Pieces Of A Woman', by the numbers horror 'The Rental' and Covid inspired 'Songbird'.
We also have the first instalment of new segment 'WandaWatch' and your regular round up of news stories from the last two weeks.
Ladies and Gentlemen we're returning one last time the shitshow that was 2020 for a final look at some of the films we didn't cover too much on the awards episode. We highlight a few hidden gems and films we maybe judged too harshly on initial release.
Check out the films we cover on this one as we felt they were worth a rewatch and should be widely available for you all now.
Our first news and reviews of 2021 acts as a roundup of the last stuff we saw in 2020 during the festive period. With reviews of Pixar's latest 'Soul', big budget superhero sequel 'Wonder Woman 1984', Netflix Oscar hopeful 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom', Irish animation 'Wolfwalkers' and George Clooney's new film 'The Midnight Sky'.
It's finally here! We see off the year in our usual style with the Dinosaur Man awards, joined by Paul to dish out all the biggest gongs. We discuss animated hedgehogs, beloved TV hosts and blockbuster spy action films in our wrap up of the last year in film.
Join us in saying goodbye to the strangest year in living memory right here and now.
Since it's been a busy time for both news and new releases we thought we'd split them up for the next couple of episodes. This week we tackle the news of Warner Bros releasing their entire 2021 slate simultaneously theatrically and on HBO Max in a move which has seen uproar from some filmmakers and guilds.
We also go through the announcements made at the Disney Investor Day relating to the future of their tentpole franchises and animation divisions including a whole bunch of Disney+ series and movies, Star Wars news and the next stage of the Marvel project.
In another festive episode we look at three new Netflix Christmas films and try to scientifically work out which of them is the most Christmassy of all. It's a tough battle and we had to sit through a lot of holiday cheer but we did it.
Our contenders are 'Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square', 'Operation Christmas Drop' and 'Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey'. Are they any good? Who comes out on top? Who will be crowned the monarch of merriment? Find out here!
We begin Dinosaur Man Does December with this festive double bill. We watched both films in The Princess Switch series, and boy are they films with some big problems. We discuss the hunkiness of leads, the insanity of how fictional countries work of a GDP level, whether this is Vanessa Hudgens' Oscar moment and who the mysterious Christmas man actually is.
Have you watched these films? Were you thinking of watching them? We would recommend you skip. But hey, it's your life, live it.
Slow news week but thankfully we make up for that with a bunch of hot and fresh reviews! Three brand new releases in Holiday romcom 'Happiest Season', heartfelt Amazon drama 'Uncle Frank' and Netflix awards hopeful 'Hillbilly Elegy'. All this alongside crime thriller 'Arkansas'.
