Dinosaur Man

Alex and Andy return for a midweek treat with a rare spoiler special episode on the new DC movie 'Shazam!' starring Zachary Levi. As usual with these episodes this is spoiler filled so if you are planning on seeing the film come back to this episode afterwards and enjoy the debate.

Hey guys and welcome to a spooky week here at Dinosaur Man HQ. We've seen Pet Sematary and now we're spooky cats so that's fun, in addition to this Alex caught up with Netflix film 'Unicorn Store'. We also discuss the trailers for 'Joker' and 'My Spy' as well as assorted other nonsense.

After a fallow week of no podcasting from us we return with a bunch of reviews for you all. It's a big week for new releases including Jordan Peele's 'Us', new DC superhero film 'Shazam!' and Maggie Gyllenhaal starring 'The Kindergarten Teacher'.

In what we hoped would be a tight episode we discuss 'Serenity' and 'Love, Death & Robots', both available for your viewing pleasure at home if you have Sky Cinema or Netflix. The real question of course is whether either of them are worth your time. Thankfully you have us on hand to let you know.

Happy pod day to all you loyal listeners out there, I hope Santa got you what you asked for. Alex and Andy return this week with two films to review and a whole bunch of nonsense news. Our reviews this week are Marvel's latest box office juggernaught 'Captain Marvel' and 'Fighting With My Family'. Two very different narratives but both with no end of charm and strength and TLC references.

In a wicked twist of fate this week Alex has been struck down by illness. But more fool you if you think that will stop him from podcasting his opinion about 'Roma' before Andy waxes lyrical about 'The Umbrella Academy'.

We'll be back at full strength next week don't worry guys.

It's that time of year again where awards season comes to a head and we celebrate by staying up too late and watching the Oscars live and report back to you once you've already found out the results. It's one of the many helpful services we offer as part of this podcast. So sit back, relax and enjoy the torture.

It's the last week before the Oscars so it's about time we talked about Barry Jenkins' 'If Beale Street Could Talk'. It's also a week in which we discuss 'Umbrella Academy' and 'Titans', both of which are available on Netflix in the UK now.

This week sees the arrival of two big budget studio films alongside the usual raft of movie and gaming news.

First up is 'Alita: Battle Angel', Robert Rodriguez's adaptation of the celebrated manga, 20 years in the making but was it worth the wait? We also review 'The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part', follow up to 2015's smash hit animated success but does it recapture the magic of the first?

In a sparsely populated week of new releases we discuss two which aren't in the running for awards or further recognition. First up is thriller 'Escape Room', a Saw inspired bucket of nonsense which follows every trope imaginable, Andy then talks about 'Polar', Netflix's graphic novel adaptation starring Mads Mikkelsen. We get into the various Super Bowl trailers too so big news is mentioned.
