We are taking a look at why to follow God and why He came to earth to die. We look at Matthew 16.21, we also ask you consider the following questions as you process the video:

1. As you look at your life right now, what 'heavy gear' (an old habit, a defensive attitude, or specific worldly security) are you still clutching onto because you are afraid you won't survive without it?

2. In Matthew 16, we are told that from that time on (a turn in Jesus' interaction with His disciples and in His earthly ministry), Jesus began to explain to His disciples why he MUST go to Jerusalem (meaning He didn't need to ask why for Himself). Is there a specific 'inward turn' or command from King Jesus that you have understood, but you are currently holding in 'pending' status because you're still waiting for Him to explain the 'Why' to you?

This week we are still in Matthew, looking at chapter 12.38.42. We are looking at the need for signs and not receiving them and letting go of sinful ways.

We take a look at Matthew 17.24-27 and the temple tax and not offending others in the name of God.

We continue looking at Jesus sending out the twelve disciples for the first time. Looking at Matthew 10.16-42, additional reading is 1 John 4.7-12.

We are taking a look at when Jesus sent out His disciples with all His authority for the first time. We are looking at Matthew 10.1-15.

This week we wrap up Matthew 13, with the parable of the sower. We look at the different types of soils in the parable and ask which one you see yourself being.

This week we look at the parables of the net and the wedding banquet. We are still in Matthew 13, with a look at Matthew 22. We examine the similarities of the parables.

We are still looking at parables in Matthew 13, and we've seen the Kingdom of Heaven described like a man, a mustard seed and yeast. This week we see it described as a treasure and a pearl.

We continue our look at our Jesus Said series, as we continue to look at parables. We are still in Matthew chapter 13, and looking at the parable of the parable of the weeds. This is a parable Jesus actually explains and we have follow up questions on the video.
